We had a delightful experience as always. Our server was very capable and wonderful to interact with and the kitchen went the extra mile separately playing our shared pasta dish beautifully. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and the staff are to be commended.
It's nice to get excellent fine dining these days. Keep it up, thank you

I recently visited this restaurant in Boone, NC, and it truly exceeded my expectations! From the moment we arrived, the host went above and beyond to find us seating despite the place being fully booked that night. We ended up at the bar, where the bartender doubled as our waiter and provided excellent service.
The food was absolutely delicious. Although my steak initially came out overcooked, our attentive waiter promptly addressed the issue and brought me a perfectly cooked replacement. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her pasta, and after tasting it myself, I can confirm it was delightful. We also indulged in a few expertly crafted cocktails, prepared with evident pride by the female bartender – they were simply perfect.
Despite arriving close to closing time, the service remained phenomenal. I would not hesitate to dine here again if I'm in the area, and I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a great place to eat. Thank you to the entire team for such an amazing night. Keep up the fantastic work!

We did a last minute reservation and our server Jennifer was INCREDIBLE. We tried multiple dishes and every single thing we had was absolutely amazing. Thank you for such a memorable experience!!
We have been going there since they opened. They continue to up their game with the menu and decor. Great mountain feel with large fireplace. Highly recommend a visit.
Excellent bartender (had a delicious pomegranate martini). My wife's Rigatoni Ala Vodka, and my Bolognese were delicious. We look forward to returning .
What I ordered was the fried sea bass, I thought it would be fillets, however, it came whole on my plate. This made it a very difficult dish to eat, as sea bass has small bones, and it was inconvenient having to remove the bones after separating the skin from the flesh; the bones kept appearing in my mouth. The flavor was incredible, but it was annoying having to remove the bones from my mouth.

We highly recommend this place. We enjoyed Monday night pizzas and 2.00 martinis. Will definitely be coming back to try their regular menu
Exceptional family / large group dining! Warm, friendly ambiance. Incredible service. Amazing drinks, foods, and deserts. The Beacon really knocks it out of the park on all levels, and is also a great value dining experience.
We have a large group of 8 for dinner over family holidays, and three dinners out. The Beacon stands out above the other two, which were also incredible.
From the reservation to the check, the Beacon provided exceptional, personal service. They were flexible with our not-so-timely, large group. They stayed open late for us while we chatted and visited over desert and coffee.
It is a great place to enjoy amazing food and a relaxed, easy going atmosphere, perfect for catching up with friends and family.
Between our party we had the Smoked Bison Meatballs, Charred salad, and beet salad appetizers. All were good. The salad stood out among our group with presentation, tast, and creativity.
Among the entrees on the menu, with one gluten free meal. We enjoyed them all. The pork chop stood out for flavor. The Sea Bass, veal, raviole, rigatoni, and gluten free option were each great.

Restaurantji Recommends
Apps: bison meatballs ok, undersea sense, red sauce bland, focaccia was nearly stale and terribly boring, fritto misto very good, grilled Caesar excellent dressing. Entrees of lobster ravioli-typical but nothing special, pizzas, very good crust, bronzino stuffed w goat cheese and spinach had good flavor but I couldn’t get past how easy it would be for the kitchen to remove the back bone…I mean if it wasn’t stuffed I’d understand but a whole stuffed roasted fish should be at least boneless.

Our first experience here and everything from our greeting at the door to impeccable service to delicious food was perfect. The lobster ravioli was delicate and subtle, just as it should be. My husband's pork chop was imaginative and flavorful. He was still talking about it the next day! My only recommendation would be to add some Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand to the wine list. Highly recommend this lovely restaurant.
Amazing vibe amazing food amazing service. I never write reviews and seriously will be going back here for every blowing rock trip. Well worth the drive.
