Great Vibe and food. One thing we didn't` care for was the seating. Given the fact that there were only two tables occupied when we arrived, we were seated a distance from those two tables. However as more diners arrived, they were placed at the tables right next to us. There were still lots of available tables all throughout the dining area, yet these folks were seated right next to us Who doesn't`t like a little space and privacy when dining ? Seemed like a upscale place like this would realize this.

Without a doubt, the Beacon is one of my fav spots in Boone to have a bite and fellowship! Aside from the really tasty menu, the serving staff is so professional + accommodating and the bar staff is stellar! I have really enjoyed going to the late night jazz jams on the first Friday of the month! The lights go down low, local jazz musicians tear it up, and there is a special food and bev menu. Perfect for a date night or a chill end-of-the-week decompression! Def check it out!

The food was fantastic and the service exceptional. Emma took great care of us and her review of the special and menu helped us make selections that were absolutely tremendous. So glad we were able to visit this great restaurant while in Boone from Southport, NC.

The initial service was great. Food was great, where they lost us was when we asked for the check it was almost 45 minutes and we still didn't get the check. We had to go to the bar and ask for it and they never brought us our to go Box:(.

Amazing one of the best in Boone. Great GF options. One of the rare occasions I ordered steak and thought the chef did a better job than I would have on the grilling.

Amazing culinary experience!! The filets were perfectly seasoned and cooked and the chicken Alfredo with fresh pasta was extraordinary. The gnocchi appetizer was terrific. We finished with sumptuous deserts of tiramisu and Irish cream concoction that was sinful. Emma, our server, was outstanding and so much fun!!

The environment was very nice and loved the music but the food was overpriced and the chicken and dessert was dry. We were expecting more for the cost. The green beans were undercooked. We loved the salad and the oysters. We would come again but only order small plates like the pizza. However, our waiter was very nice and went overboard to make us happy. Loved her!

I was so excited to try this restaurant. We arrived and the building was still too cold. Ok…maybe it will warm up shortly. No fish. Only scallops…. Ok. Long story short. We will never come back. We expected quality food. It was so salty it wasn’t really edible. We drank the entire bottle of water to help. Crispy Brussel sprouts were steamed and soggy. And salty like everything including the poutine, except ironically the oysters. The bill was incorrect too. There was an adjustment made by the manager but the wrong correction was made. I am really truly disappointed. I wondered if they had a substitute chef but there was no admission of that. Just poor cooking technique and super salty. Also I would bet the mushrooms and gravy on the poutine were from jars. If not the chef is even worse than I thought.

My entree' last night was excellent (elk-bison meatloaf), the live music outstanding. My mate's meal (chicken over GF pasta) was subpar for any high quality restaurant, especially for one owned and overseen by Tina Houston. They gave us a full refund for the uneaten entree' --- without our asking. The brussel sprouts appetizer was undercooked and, therefore, tough and without the poping flavor I'm used to in one of her restaurants. Tina's the best, and her restaurants are always excellent. Like all four and five star restaurants, however, there are some mistakes along the way. I take this experience as the rare exception to the rule. I'll be back at The Beacon in a week. I've dined at her restaurants many times over nearly 25 years and will happily continue to do so.

Emily made my birthday dinner extra special! Every cocktail I ordered had a cute happy birthday sticker. Being from out of town she gave us a few options to celebrate that night. Amazing service! The food was incredible! Got the steak and it was like butter! Only suggestion is to not give out that much corn bread. 5/5 will definitely go back anytime I'm in Boone.

Visited for the first time last night. The service was outstanding, thank you Emma! The food was packed with flavor! We started with the Gnocchi which was outstanding. The smoky squash butter was amazing. We had the Beacon Bolognese and Lamb for dinner followed by the tiramisu and lemon blueberry trifle for dessert. Every bite to the end was thoroughly enjoyed. Highly recommend and we will be back for sure.

I really wanted to love this place and overall, it wasn't bad by any means, however, it wasn't as fantastic as I have experienced at other nice restaurants in Boone. We arrived early and he hostess was very sweet, letting us know our table would be available soon, so we decided to grab a drink from the bar. The bartender there that evening was very cold and just not friendly. Coming from someone who has years of experience in food and beverage/restaurants, it was not the overall attitude or persona a bartender should have. In addition to the subpar bar service, one cocktail we had was short of even near good. It takes a very talented mixologist to create great specialty cocktails, and the one we tried was simply not it. Our server was amazing. We let her know the cocktail was undrinkable and she promptly removed it from the table and the bill, and replaced it with another item off the beverage list. The food was also average. We had the brussel salad (amazing!), alfredo (really good), bolognese (sort of dry-not the best we've had), and the 1/2 chicken accompanied by green beans and skillet cornbread. The chicken was great, I think it could have used a sauce. Green beans were good and the cornbread was to die for. The wine was amazing as well. Again, not a horrible experience, and maybe I will give it another shot, but it just simply was not as great as I was hoping for.

Four first time at the Beacon Butcher Bar. The food and cocktails were amazing. The ambiance was very nice and the atmosphere was perfect. Our bartenders and waitress were fantastic.
