We stopped here for dinner on a cold Friday night in late November. There was about a 20 minute wait with not much room in the waiting area. But after being seated we were treated to five-star service. We got an order of house made chips and a side of ranch as an appetizer; chips were solid, ranch was even better. They had some top shelf bottled root beer that I enjoyed with a snowboarder friend that can really carve up a mountain. I wanted to try the Carolina Bison, but unfortunately that was 86’d along with a few other items that night. Instead I got the Cardinal Burger, Gringo style. It was delicious! Fries were good as well. The ambience was great with several unique pieces of decor. I would like to go back sometime to try the bison!

Wow, excellent food. The special bahn mi cheese steak was awesome.
I've been wanting to eat here for a few years and finally made it happen on our Thanksgiving weekend visit. It was well worth the wait! Burgers were delicious, Molly Hopper cider was tasty and it's a cool little place inside. We'll be back!

I love stopping to eat at the place on the way to our vacation home in Beech Mountain! Delicious burger and the best fries! They also take good care of my dietary restrictions!!

Waiting an hour+ for an appetizer and even longer for burgers to not come out as ordered and salty ssa chips as a side. Server would disappear after offering something never to return and we had to flag down different servers to fulfill the request .. Even the BILL!! Cherry on top-homegirl stood in the kitchen watching from the window as we signed the bill and didn't come out until we exited the building. Not sure if she was just having a bad day or needs to choose a different career path. Saving grace for sitting that long waiting for the app was the great music and the tamarind flavored cocktail. I wish we'd gone to Arby's instead and I don't even eat/like Arby's. Do better, Cardinal.

The Burgers were great and the fries were fresh. Our Server Vanessa (I think she said?) was also great. We didn't have to ask for anything. We were happy to be out and helping a local business.

This place did not miss in any capacity. The food was phenomenal - we got burgers, fries, & hush puppies. Atmosphere - good vibes, great for a post-hike spot. Service was perfection - on top of it, and when I couldn’t decide on a beer they wanted to bring me samples to my tasting. Which leaves me with - the drinks - great beer, and a full bar to accommodate. If you want to go somewhere where you’ll be very pleased and avoid any ounce of disappointment, this is the spot.

Great burgers!!!! Especially the game Burger! You never know what is the flavor of the day. I’ve never had a bad burger here.
