Very disappointed in a place that we've known in the past to have wonderful food. The fact that they've removed moussaka from their menu should have been a red flag. HC Greek's moussaka was outstanding. The pastitcio was more like baked ziti, but was a very small portion and very dry. Same story with the souvlaki; small portion of overly dry meat morsels. The greek salad was reliably good.

The lamb gyro was the best I've ever had. The restaurant is very difficult to find, in the second floor of a fitness club. No signs outside telling you it's there. It's a small comfortable place with a good menu and excellent service. The Greek salad was a disappointment.

We ordered take out and all our food was amazing. The Greek Fries Supreme with gyro was fire. We also got a sampler of pita, hummus, and dolmas, all of which were absolutely amazing. Will definitely have to check out the atmosphere inside.

Place was a bit out of the way. Didn't realize they have another place in town because it has a different name. It was unusually set in a sports complex. Felt like we were in a medical building. We were the only customers at the time. Our server was friendly. Ordered gyros and fries. It was ready within about 8 minutes. The gyros were very good, no complaints, although I have had better. The star of the lunch was the fries. Hot, crispy, seasoned well and were fluffy on the inside, still having texture. The tzatziki tasted like it had mayonnaise in it instead of just yogurt. Cucumber would have been nice grated instead of in chunks. I'm being picky. It was an enjoyable meal. Prices were reasonable.

I absolutely love Greek gyros especially since my trip to Greece.I have tried a few restaurants in North Carolina and have been disappointed.Well that was not the case at High Country Greek.The gyro was fantastic the fries were delicious and the atmosphere was great.I highly recommend going there. I know I will be going back

Always excellent service and they make you feel welcomed. I ordered the Taverna Salad with the addition of lamb as an online order. I did not get the lamb with my order. I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt as they are usually great. Food was still delicious and ready when promised.
This place was so awesome. Food was great and they serve a decent sized portion. It's located inside of a community health club but once you find it, it's totally worth it. The young lady that runs it mentioned they have another location in boone.
Small restaurant in out of the way location but food was EXCELLENT! We shared a sampler platter, everything was so fresh and tasty.

Wife likes Greek food more than I, so we searched for this place, which was a little difficult to find. Seemed popular with the locals. The staff was so accommodating! Kitchen ran out of something, do we were cheerfully given a nice choice of substitutes.Food seemed right & tasty, but I am not an authority. Inside a health club we expected more athletes. Thanks for a good experience.

Went here today for the first time and the food was incredible. Definitely the best greek food in boone by far. Also, it seems to be a family business and the owners were super nice people. I'll definitely be coming back here a lot more now that I know about it

the food was awesome!! we enjoyed every minute of it, i got a lamb gyro, my mom got the spanakopita and greek meatball gyro, it was a misprint on the menu but of my gosh was it good, we recommend getting both in it. my brother got the greek lasagna he said it was totally worth it. we each wanted the greek fries but didn’t want the shareable, the server was nice enough to put tzatiki and feta on it, she was great.
