The Horton provided exceptional service from the time we made our reservation until we checked out. Very few hotels call to ask if you have any special requests or are celebrating anything before arrival. We enjoyed the fireplace in the lobby on our way to the lounge. Great service and drinks. The room was dark and quiet. Easy parking. Great location. We can't wait to go back in warmer weather to enjoy the rooftop bar.

Nearby activities: Lots of restaurants, friendly and cozy bars, craft stores and a college vibe. A wonderful town
Walkability: Everything is close by in downtown Boone…great walking town.
I've only been to the bar, so this isn't a review of the hotel itself.The bar has terrific staff that are always coming up with new beverages and curate the menu themselves. Live music on Sundays is very common, and it has a terrific view of the town.

Me and my wife stayed here for our honeymoon this past year. We don't usually got for fancy or boutique hotels, so we decided to splurge for our honeymoon. Based on the price and description on the website we thought this was that. However it is very far from that. Now the staff was incredible very friendly and helpful. But it is absolutely not worth the ridiculous amount of money not cost. For over 400$ a night I would expect at least breakfast, but no it's literally just some muffins and bagels and that's it, anything else cost a stupid amount, no room service or anything. The bar is amazing great drinks and decently priced.... However it's open to the public so you can't even sit at the bar in your own hotel your paying exuberant amounts of money to stay at because there is no room, if you wanna sit at the bar you need to find at seat several hours early and not move. You pay for the exclusivity but don't get any. The location is great since Boone doesn't have ubers or anything. Rooms are very old and we stayed in a suit that was about as nice as a best Western,That all being said 2 stars is what it's really all it's worth, if it were much cheaper it would be worth, location is the best thing about it. Again staff was amazing, but would not stay here again
