A nice locally owned and sourced restaurant. Good atmosphere to accompany a nice menu. We dined with local friends on a Friday night. Enjoyed 30% off our wine. Onion rings appetizer was great but maybe a little expensive for the serving size. All five of us enjoyed different entrees. Pork chop, salmon, elk stroganoff, mushroom risotto and trout. Deserts were okay but maybe not their strength--except for homemade ice cream. Service was good, though our server was busy with training a new staffer and added duties for someone out. But we didn't feel neglected. She was personable and that helped. Will go back our next time in town.

Love everything about Vidalia. The menu, perfectly prepared food and attentive service is always great. It’s simply a wonderful dinning experience all around. A personal favorite!

Our sever Bethany did not want to be there.. there was 3 tables and just her so maybe it’s management’s fault. She was rude to my mother and didn’t even give us a full cup of coffee, we had to ask for essentials, and she was annoyed that we used Apple Pay.

Food was fantastic! With a better service this would be 5 stars! She just was very rude the entire experience.

Had reservations for my wife’s birthday. Corn and potato chowder was incredible. My son and I had smash burgers, wife had trout, and 4th had daily special chicken and dumplings. Everything was great, I want to try the trout next time. Banana pudding for dessert was ridiculously good. I’m shocked that this place doesn’t stay crowded.

Must go to in Boone!

Our food came out fast and fresh off the pan hot.

The summer squash risotto was creamy and flavorful without being overly heavy.

The burger was perfect!! Didn’t feel like a grease bomb and had that perfect burger flavor.

The entire menu looks delish and we had a hard time deciding on just two!! Will be back for more.

Excellent food, adult beverages and service. Our Bartender made us great Martinis. For dinner, shrimp and grits and boneless pork chops were delicious. Our Bartender was also our waitress and was very attentive. A good experience all around.

Service and atmosphere were great. Food do not live up to the hype. Took a long time to get it and it was a very small portion.

We recently had our wedding rehearsal dinner at Vidalia, and the food was amazing! We worked closely with them to determine the menu for our group (a three-course dinner), and they did a great job navigating our food allergies and needs!

My husband and I enjoyed our meal at Vidalia. Our server was pleasant, the atmosphere lively yet quiet enough that we could hear each other for conversation and our meal was very tasty. If you are a pimento cheese fan, I highly recommend that appetizer. My husband got the pot roast risotto (while it sounds unusual, it was delicious!) and I very much enjoyed my golden beet salad.

If you like crispy, perfectly cooked chicken please give Vidalia’s a try.

I have been dozens of times in 5 years for brunch/dinner and have to recommend everyone give this place a try. This restaurant is a gem of Boone. It may not be for everyone, but I believe everyone should try it. I write this review to encourage people to try this wonderful restaurant so that it can become an institution of Boone. The food here is unbelievably consistent. From the crispy fried chicken, flavorful bacon, perfectly cooked steak, to the amazing gravy everything is delicious and just how you remember from the last time you visited. This place deserves to be recognized as one of the top 3 restaurants in Boone. Please try it you may discover your favorite salad or the best bacon you’ve ever had.

Pretty disappointed with this experience…it was our first time at Vidalia. My wife’s meal was pretty good but my steak was not only undercooked, it came out lukewarm at best. When I asked to send it back and have it taken off my bill, I was told they would cook it further and box it up to go. A $50 undercooked, lukewarm, tough steak to go. Our waiter was nice as well as the hostess. It is a pretty loud restaurant as well. A $200 lesson learned.
