I seldom write reviews, but this experience was exceptional, and I also own a restaurant in another city. The service was outstanding: John, who is also a bartender, and Chris, who was training under him, were fantastic. The square root salad with figs was superb, and the Brussels sprouts were delicious too. They exceeded expectations, and I was impressed by the service and quality.Ps. The GM, pretty sure ‘Jacob’ was authentic and great as well.
This is a hidden gem. Everything I've tried has been absolutely wonderful, especially the desserts. I highly recommend the blueberry cheesecake. The blueberry flavor is incredible.
All the service people are great but John in the bar is just the most enjoyable person in the world. He made our 1st anniversary absolutely memorable.

Stumbled upon this incredible restaurant in Brevard NC. As soon as I looked at the menu I knew this place was going to be amazing. I couldn’t believe they had Hangar steak on the menu. Hangar steak is THE ULTIMATE cut of beef. If you’ve never had it, or don’t know what it is, I highly and I mean highly recommend going to your local butcher and asking for it, it’s also known as Butchers Steak.I ordered it rare, because there is no other way to order steak. It was beautifully crusted and cooked. To be honest, there wasn’t one part of the meal I wouldn’t recommend, from the potatoes to the salad.I will definitely be coming back over and over and over again when I’m in Brevard.Next time, I will get the Rabbit Gumbo for sure.

Presentation was good, eggplant was pretty good, service was pretty good. The restaurant its self was nice, but the eggplant was over fried but the tomatoes were a nice and tasty touch.
Square Root has been my go-to restaurant for special occasions since 2018. My husband and I recently celebrated my birthday there. We were greeted so warmly by our server, Jane, GM Jacob, and Chef Adam! We had a cozy table just inside the front door with a view of the Chocolate Shop across the ally way. The atmosphere is so pleasant and the food was incredibly delicious as always. I had the trout with pimento cheese grit and collards. My husband raved about the chicken Marsala. We selected a bottle of wine from the vast choices offered. It was perfect.

Best Brussels & best corn on the cob I've ever had. Ribs were the special and my group had limoncello martinis and blueberry spritzs. Loved it! Server was sweet too!

This restaurant was a highlight of my hiking trip to Brevard. The staff was incredible and the food was even more incredible. Prepare for a wait but its so worth it. If you don't get the duck and you enjoy duck, you're truly missing out. Conveniently located and lots of little shops to browse nearby.
