UpCountry Brewing Brevard

I was just recently attending the White Squirrel craft fair in Brevard and was excited to see a couple of craft beer brewers at this event as I am an avid craft beer drinker! My first choice was Up Country however after the first sip of a much anticipated cold craft beer I was so disappointed! The beer was so bitter and nasty tasting that I could not drink it after pouring it out and went back and tried another beer and it was not any better! I then went over to get a beer from Noblebrau which saved the day their beers where much better tasting and not near as bitter!

Popped in on 03/30/24. Bartender could not have been less enthusiastic, I guess we were interrupting their pool game. Accidentally left an expensive vape on the table when we left, went back five minutes later and nobody had seen it. No other customers in the bar just the tender and their pool buddies. Curious indeed.

Wish you had more of your own beers, but I understand the work involved with that. Had your Chai Amber at White Squirrel Market.. delicious! As for the taproom.. when there are people at the bar, get rid of the chair for bartenders to sit in, there are plenty of people to talk to at the bar, have them up and moving. As a former Taproom Manager, it doesn’t look good, also, part of what draws people in are the people behind the bar, have them engage. Love the beer, space is cool.

Uncomfortable, unwelcoming place. Bartender has major attitude problem and is unresponsive, giving weird stares. The IPA is either off, or the lines dirty - either way, completely undrinkable. Other beer was decent. Approach with serious caution, very unfriendly atmosphere.

We were excited to try this place, as we are making our way back to our airbnb in Weaverville and stopping at breweries, but were disappointed when we arrived. They only had 5 beers on tap that they made here and 8+ of beers made somewhere else. We ended up getting a beer from another local brewery. We weren't fans of the ones they made on tap.We will come back next time we are in town and try again. Great outdoor space but no music outside.

They have old school arcade machines, and it's a great place to play games. We brought a game and played a few rounds while sipping on good beer.

Wish they had more of a selection but what they do have is good. Also a great location/space. Plus they have good merch ?

15 taps, 5 are out. 3 are belgian quads, 2 are gose, and at least 2 more are guest taps. I'm open to different styles, but do you brew anything yourself any more? Used to be good, not so much anymore.

Good beer. Lots of firewood.UPDATE: No more fire pits. The beer was only good if you could drink in next to the fire. No fires = no stars.
