Wow! We had lunch here a few weeks ago and it was divine! Amazing service from Mikayla, interesting take on a Cesar salad and the yummy pizza from a wood oven. The chef is from Charleston and you can tell he cares about every detail. Don’t miss this gem in Brevard!

Disappointing. Menu didn't match online menu. Limited options. Slow service. Not all of the order appeared (starter). When I shared my views with staff members I was met with opposition for voicing opinion. Food was ok.Our expectations were high: our experience low.

As a culinary professional I have to give this place a 10 out of 10. Hands down one of the best restaurants in North Carolina and one of the best meals I've had in the last decade. If you have the privilege of eating here I can guarantee you will not be disappointed.

To be fair we just got chicken salad, but the chicken was rubbery, the there was like 2 stalks of whole lettuce, me and my mom split , the bill was 31 dollar for a small salad, that is really taking advantage of people. The other food may be great, but we will not be coming back to see. The service was wonderful, very nice waitress

One of the best meals we have had in a long time! Beautiful, cozy atmosphere and fantastic service. The food was amazing, every single bite! It is hard to find a place that does a job like they do. Thank you!

Dined here while visiting friends that live near. What a wonderful place. The staff were great. I had the flat iron steak and it was cooked to a great medium rare. Will try to make it here again on another visit.

Excellent service and amazing food! Great find while staying in the area for Labor Day weekend. We had the mountain trout, boar ragu, artisan bread, beef carpaccio, and chocolate soufflé. We will certainly be back.

This is a dichotomy of a restaurant: Astonishingly good food, with poor, inconsiderate service. It took a solid 25 minutes from the time we were sat down for someone to show up (there were perhaps 5 tables with people at the time, 7:30 PM Sunday). After our order was finally taken we learned that they had "just" run out of a particular appetizer we were looking forward to; the irony of the 25-minute wait was not lost on us. We had the Mussels+Chorizo and the Scallops. The Mussels were fine, in an excellent sauce. Had to ask for bread (which was not offered) for sauce-dipping purposes. The scallops were among the best we ever had, with a great cracked pepper finish to them. For the entrees, we ordered the Blackened Trout and the Lamb Loin. The lamb was an excellent cut, a meatier, richer change of pace from the typical chop or rib. It was promised "medium rare" but was ever so slightly overcooked. The tomato sauce it came in more than compensated for that. The Blackened Trout was, quite simply, the best we've ever had, hat's off to the chef. No two portions arrived at our table at the same time, and I was surprised to receive my lamb several minutes before my wife's trout showed up. We ordered coffee and desserts: excellent French Press, tasty chocolate mousse, and a fragrant, lemon-y pannecotta. We received exactly two spoons, so had to use them both for the coffee and the desserts (BTW no Splenda, luckily my wife had some in her purse...) Then came the "shocker": We knew this was a pricy restaurant ($206 for two, before tip) but the check also included an additional 4% (!?!) charge if using a "Credit Card". This is not disclosed on the menu or website, so we didn't carry cash or a checkbook. I inquired if this applies to Debit cards as well and was told that it did. I checked with VISA and found out that:

A) A merchant must be pre-registered with a 30-day advance notice to charge a fee

B) The fee can only equal the actual processing fee (which ain't 4%)

C) The fee can ONLY APPLY to Credit Cards: Debit Cards and Gift Cards are specifically excluded (so at the very least they owe me a $9 refund...)

I guess that if I file a complaint with VISA the restaurant might lose its card-processing rights, which would be a substantial hardship. I understand it when a food truck charges an extra fee for card use, but to do so in the priciest restaurant in Brevard? I find that not only inappropriate but downright tacky. Yes, I know that costs are higher, but so is the food pricing. We walked away with immense satisfaction from the food and beverage and a sense of irritation from the table service and billing practices, which surely couldn't be the intent of the proprietors.

Very quaint cottage atmosphere. Started with bread that is toasted in a wood fired grill. Burrata salad with cherries for appetizer. Main courses at our table were wild boar pasta and lamb loin. The food was absolutely fantastic! Will definitely return!

I imagine it’s called the Wild Morel because of the wild menu. Not your average selections but a tapestry of flavors and scents. Interesting mix with various game, steaks, fowl and fish. We must have tried a dozen items, all top notch and plentiful. From the fresh baked Artesian loaf with warm whipped butter to the lovely scallops and dinner salads. We had the trout, steak and wild boar ragù. Magnificent! ? Nice wine selection on the upper side. Short interesting beers mostly local and limited. The steaks were all large, and I am more of a filet individual. We encountered some inconsistent service and a few near us had a terrible time. Very cozy front porch and entrance. The back dining room is a bit sterile but clean and righty. Not an establishment for the average pallet but a gem for many. Nice job chef. ?
