We love visiting Anthony’s every time we are in town, especially the Derailed Bar. Great food, very laidback atmosphere, and the nicest staff you could ask for.

Ordered the breaded mushrooms and pizza. The mushrooms where extremely oily and the breading on the was an itailian seasoned. Our pizza we asked for double meat and got single meat. But the fact you have to pay for each topping at 3 to 4 dollars a pop is high. Over priced food for what you get. This place relies on the train to draw their business in.

Wait time was estimated at 45 minutes but waited about 15. The spinach artichoke dip was fantastic. Had some good drinks and right across the street from polar express. Kids loved seeing the train from the window. Waitress was super friendly and helpful and let us know of a few attractions near by since we were from out of town.

Food is ok. Alfredo is bland. We came in after riding train. Waitress (Julie) rushed us to order. It was close to closing when we finished eating and she took one persons plate at the table while they were still eating off fries off of it, tried to take kids plate if my hand wasn’t on it. She brought check and my kids asked about dessert to which she said I don’t know what we have, we will just say we don’t have any very rudely. I got the check paid and we left. When we went back to place I realized I was overcharged. My bill was $119 and I was charged $150. She had gave herself a $30 tip which I didn’t leave. I left 10% due to service. Also was charged an additional $30 charge. I went back to place the next am and confronted them to which they couldn’t get my slip but she said oh I must have misread it and gave me $20. As for the extra $30 charge I am still waiting for it to drop off my account three days later. Be warned they will overcharge you and it seemed she definitely knew she had took extra money as she was quick to suggest just giving me cash back when the manager wasn’t standing there. Def will not ever eat there again!

We chose Anthony’s on a whim after riding the Polar Express in Bryson City, and our group arrived very hungry. It took about 20 minutes to be seated, which was a little confusing since there were plenty of open tables — likely an understaffing issue, which is understandable for a small mountain town.

We started with the goat cheese dip, spinach dip, and caprese, and all three appetizers were genuinely very good. Since Anthony’s is known as a pizzeria, we each ordered pizza for our main course. The pizzas were decent, but I’ll be honest — I expected a bit more based on the reputation and menu.

Our server wasn’t rude, but she did seem irritated or preoccupied, which made the experience feel a little off. Overall, Anthony’s is a solid option given the location and the limited dining choices in the area. I’m glad we tried it, but it’s not a place I’d rush back to unless I lived nearby.

Everything was good. Felt bad for the waiters as it seemed they didn't have enough but they did a great job keeping up.

Second visit was worse than first. My cup leaked all over the place. Service was meh. Had to ask serval times for every request. I would say this was in part to being understaffed. Food was OK I guess. I'll probably try someplace else next time I pass thru town.
