“Had an amazing experience at High Test Deli! The Cuban sandwich was absolutely incredible—perfectly toasted with great flavor in every bite. I also tried the chicken salad sandwich, and it was just as delicious—fresh, well-seasoned, and made just right.
On top of the great food, the atmosphere really stood out. The music was on point and made the whole experience even better. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to. Highly recommend!”

“Stopped by Mountain Layers Brewing and really liked the space. They have a big beer selection and a lot of seating upstairs, which is nice if it’s busy. Part of the outdoor area is heated and partially enclosed, so it’s comfortable even when it’s cooler out. I had one of their hazy IPAs (I think it was called Isolated Mind) and it was really good. Overall a great spot to hang out and enjoy a beer.”

“Wife and I took the GSMR and when we returned we decided to give it a try. Sign said “Best Burger in Town “ so we got a Mushroom Burger and a Slaw Burger with Fries and Tots! Burgers were cooked perfectly and the Fries and Tots were super crispy and Hot!!! Young Man brought it to the Table and was very polite!! Highly Recommended Support Local Business!!!”

“I have so many good things to say about this little bakery. We went here 3 mornings in a row while we were in town because it was THAT good. We have three little ones that were with us, so having a little train table and kitchen for them to play with while we peacefully drank our coffee was a treat. We ordered basically everything on the menu so we could try every delicious item. We had the quiche, the cinnamon rolls (both cream cheese and regular), breakfast casserole, bacon egg and cheese croissant sandwich, sausage egg cheese biscuit, and vanilla lattes. Every single thing we had was incredible. I could eat that every morning if I lived there. The little shop attached to the bakery was adorable too. So many great finds! The vibes in this place were unmatched. The staff working there (specifically the girl taking orders) was so kind/friendly with a cute little accent. 10/10 recommend this place. You would be missing out if you don't try it out!”

“My family and are I are extra thankful this year for the kindness and generosity of Jeff and Pam Pulley, the owners of Mountain Perks Espresso Bar & Cafe. Two weeks ago, my kids and I came to Bryson City to ride the Polar Express train with friends. GPS said I was only .5 of a mile away from my destination, but my car got stuck on the rocky road on a very steep mountain and I had no cell service. Turns out I inadvertently got lost very high up on the mountain (later we would found out I was 20 minutes away from the house we were staying). My kids and I walked to the nearest house that had a light on, and by the grace of God, Jeff and Pam took us in and helped us. Jeff and his neighbor, Keith, also got my car out of the ditch I backed into, and my kids and I were still able to make the train ride. Jeff and Pam didn’t have to open up their door and help three complete strangers, but they did with open arms. Jeff and Keith didn’t have to get my car out, but they did. Let this story remind you that there are truly amazing people in this world; Jeff and Pam (and Keith) are angels walking among us! My kids and I visited Jeff and Pam at their coffee shop the next morning, and let me just say, their food and coffee are delicious! I highly recommend going there if you are ever in Bryson City, and they are located right across from the train station!”

“The Natanhala gorgeous flavor a.k.a polar express during the winter- and Oreo cheesecake. The owner makes these custom blends in front of you and it’s the Most delicious ice cream we’ve ever had. The owner was also super sweet and polite! We can’t wait to come back!”

“We were in town for Polar Express and found the food in the area left a lot to be desired. We ended up here on a whim because my kids love Mexican food, and it was probably our best meal while in town. Service was quick, no wait, and the food was good. Our only hangup is that we ordered traditional chicken tacos, and were brought pork. It was fine with me, but we did get the kids swapped out for Chicken. The downside was it took quite a while, my husband and I were finished eating before the kids food came out. Regardless everyone's food was very good. After eating a lot of mediocre meals in town my kids were thrilled with their lunch here.”

We tried Bryson City Brewery already, but for reasons that need not be mentioned, we wanted to look for a different family friendly spot. Gave you guys a try tonight and man. What a great experience! The Santa, kids karaoke, holiday drinks and the grinch?!? Come on! That is how you do a holiday family friendly bar/restaurant experience in December! Santa was so welcoming. Karaoke was super fun and the grinch stole the show! Thank you guys!! We will absolutely be back!”
