“I am not a coffee drinker, but Java City Cafe, located conveniently in the Hunter Library, has non-coffee options. I’d never been here before, so I was not aware that they did not have liquid sweetener and you had to add your own with the packets. I ordered the medium Watermelon Cucumber Mint Refresher, and it was not sweet enough for me. I ended up adding a few packets of sugar. The drink itself had good flavor. The people working were super nice as well. I definitely would come back here, it’s worth the walk.”

“It's good when you know the right combinations to make. If you're not sure, just get the favorites. I recommend the caprese or the avocado vegetarian sandwiches for vegeterians. Those are the only two I actually liked.”

“You can't beat this place. They catered my wedding back in 2016. This place has fresh food and great flavors. Try their homewrecker burrito or bowl. People who work there are so friendly. Burrito are not little you can definitely get two meals out of it if your not a big eater.

“My wife and I were in town as part of our 50th anniversary vacation and had dinner on Sunday 9/24/23. I had the 10 oz sirloin with loaded baked potato and green beans. My wife had the spinach with the raspberry vinaigrette dressing. The food was awesome and the service was great! We highly recommend Boots if you’re passing through southwestern NC.”

“We ate dinner there on a Monday, 9/25/23 while on our 50th anniversary vacation. We chose the outdoor seating. My wife got the vegetarian tacos with a side of sweet potato tots. I got the fried shrimp tacos with a chef’s side of maple balsamic glazed Brussels sprouts. The food was fantastic and a big thanks to our server, Eliza C., who was super! We highly recommend Foragers”

“We had two signature items from the menu that we have had many times. Not up to par this time (9-21-22). French onion soup was like warm. Mediterranean appetizer over browned. Italian pasta salad needed more oil and grated cheese. The added tofu was practically burnt and flavorless.”

“Great place. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Food is delicious. I got the pastrami on rye with grilled onions. It was fantastic. I could only eat half. Warmed up the other half for dinner that night and it filled me up. If you are in Sylvania you should really give it a try. You won't be disappointed.”

“Oh my! Just stopped by this cute little ice cream shop and had the best sundae ever! The owner suggested I try the banana pudding ice cream and let me tell you it exceeded my expectations! Delicious with little vanilla wafer crunch in there! I had them make me a sundae using it topped with chocolate syrup, whipped cream and a cherry. It was like an amazing banana pudding split!! I’ll be back!”
