“Food is delicious, well balanced between spicy and not. Salsa is perfect, and the guacamole is the best we have had in a long time. Get a seat by the window and watch the huge koi in the pond.”
“Great food, service, and prices! Came here for dinner on vacation.Group got: margarita, stuffed chiles, tongue tacos, fajitas, and quesadilla. They also had horchata water and jamaica.”
“Slabtown is the best pizza place I have ever tried! They have great service and their food is absolutely amazing! Their buffalo chicken pizza is my all time favorite! If you’re looking for good pizza, salad, breadsticks, and more, check them out!!!”
“Had the venison special with blue cheese sauce...phenomenal. Cool location with a cool story as well. Couple of other people in our party had two different versions of the trout and it was great as well.”
“I made my second visit to this place today. I saw a "Mardi Gras" menu and it peaked my curiosity. Let me tell you....it was not a disappointment!!! I got the shrimp and grits. Wow! If you get the chance definitely swing by. Food is amazing!”
“Sandwich shop in a farmers market with outside picnick tables. Food of exceptional quality. Top few Cuban sandwiches I've had and I've tried at least 50 different versions. Best was at an authentic Cuban place in Florida but this one was right up there.”
“If you are in the cashiers area, maybe after a trip to Asheville, drive into cashiers and dine at Whiteside Brewing Company. The food is great and the staff are there to help. If you don't want a chain restaurant, it's worth the drive.”
“Stopped here with our family after an adventure, and the food was delicious. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and everyone on staff seemed happy to be there. Next time we’re in the area we will be sure to visit again.”
“Love it when the staff loves what they do and get involved in helping to make a selection. The banana chocolate coffee cake was delicious. The coffee is very good.”
“Very Good Mexican Food in Cashiers. The place has a very large menu, with a wide variety of choices--all at reasonable prices. I think the most expensive thing on the menu is a steak dish at like $15. Most choices are in the $8 to $9 range. The service is fast, so everything comes out hot. There is a full bar and their Texas margaritas are the best!”
“Cashiers offers a number of good restaurants, though some may be closed in the off season. If you don't want to drive to Brevard Cashiers has options. The Ugly Dog pub is a great choice. Good food served fast. The place was not crowded in March. The manager made the rounds to check on us. My wife needed gluten free. They don't have GF bread ? but they offered to give her the sandwich on the plate, no bun. They have a full bar with two big screen TV's over the bar. If you are in the area and don't want a chain restaurant, it's a good option.”
“At this Starbucks, the service was exceptional, with Ariana’s top-notch skills crafting a delicious cappuccino, perfectly sweetened with Splenda. Karly greeted with warmth, making the experience superb. I also enjoyed a delicious peppermint mocha with less sweetness that was absolutely delightful. Highly recommended.”
“Food was outstanding and very fresh. Much better than the other Mexican place we tried. That said, I found it a bit expensive. First time I ever had to pay for chips and salsa. Also, $10 for a small bowl of guacamole which was full of tomatoes.Would I go again? Yes. Just wouldn't get the guacamole.Four stars due to price, nothing else.”
“SUBWAY CASHIERS NC: excellent place to get a sandwich with freshly made bread of different types, all good. Excellent meat selection, fresh vegetables. Helpful, courteous staff.”
“Burger was quite good, omelet was okay. Got strange looks from what must be locals when we came in. Service was good. Order took a long time to arrive and two tables that came in after us received their food first. Server was much more attentive to the other tables. I wouldn't stop here again on my way through but wouldn't advise you against it.”
“Oak is a premium dining option, but well worth the expense. The Venison Wellington seemed like a very unique offering but could not have been cooked better. The servers were extremely knowledgeable and added to the experience.”
“Wonderful restaurant! Great service, they make you feel special every time. The food is exquisite, tastes great and presentation is great. The owner is the sweetest, Thank you again Laura.”
“Hands down one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to! We took a trip this past weekend to highlands where I proposed to my beautiful girlfriend, and decided to celebrate here for dinner. Great decision! Food was 10/10, service was unmatched, and the atmosphere was great! A little on the pricey side but well worth every penny. I’m somewhat a foodie so it takes something special to wow me and this place did it!”
“Great food and what a wonderful find. The food was delicious, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere was fun.Parking: There is limited parking in front of the building but there’s also a larger parking lot next-door with ample parking just a short walk away.”
“This is a great place for breakfast, brunch, or lunch! Their food is very good and the portions are just right! I highly recommend stopping by if you’re in Highlands.”
“Great food, amazing owners, awesome drinks. Highly recommend the burgers. They are the best in town, however everything I have tried on the menu is fantastic. I am heading there tonight to break a 3 day fast and crush their amazing food.”
“Fantastic food! Fantastic atmosphere! Fantastic all around. The kindest people who love and support their community run this great restaurant. If you are in the area, go there!!!Dietary restrictions: Yes. Gluten Free options.Kid-friendliness: WonderfulAtmosphereWheelchair accessibility: Yes.”
“one of our party ordered the Sirloin and commented that it might have been the best he's tasted. one of us had the Apricot Chicken that was tender and flavorful. another one of our party had a Wedge and Red Pepper bisque and also commented it was delicious. The service was outstanding. Would recommend to anyone.”
“Sat on the patio and had a wood fired margarita pizza with pepperoni and a glass of white wine. The atmosphere was high glass inside and out and the service was good. This is part of a complex of three restaurants, hotel and spa. We only had time for lunch but would like to have toured the rest. Highly recommended when you’re in Highlands, NC.”
“Had occasion to dine here while driving through the area. I have to admit that my taste of BBQ tends to be more Georgia and Texas. But I have to admit, this had a great taste to it, the brisket was smoked very well and had a great flavor. the chicken was better than the brisket. The only let down was that both were a tad bit dry so I put a small amount of sauce on a couple of pieces. The sauces are a let down compared to the flavor of the meat alone, so I choose to stay with the meat and drink more Sweet Tea. Sides were Tater tots which were actually cooked correctly, nice and crisp, not soggy or over done. The coleslaw was fine, nothing bad or great. Overall it was a great meal. The meats were GREAT!”
“We came to Sapphire NC for a visit from Atlanta Ga! We ate at Mica’s twice in 4 days that we spent here! Food was amazing both times ! Staff was incredible not only in service but the way they worked together was great as well ! Highly recommend !!”
“We had a wonderful time hosting a wedding rehearsal dinner for our son and his bride at Happs Place. The food was delicious, reasonably priced, and the menu options perfect for the event. The service was efficient, polite, and on-time. We also had an afternoon lunch in the back where there is a putting green and other activities outside the bar. Dereck and his team are real pros. This place is a treasure and highly recommended.”
“What was unique about Madison's was the fact that items that would ordinarily seem very simple on a menu are taken to the next level. For example, when I was there they had a steak wrap as a special. It was extremely flavorful and tender. My wife had chicken salad on a croissant, or nearly. This seems like the kind of thing you could get in the grocery store. However, it was clearly made using a unique recipe and it couldn't have been higher quality. My advice would be, if items on the menu seem commonplace, do not take them at face value.”
“Came in today for a quick drink but stayed for the experience. The beertender Kalyn was Incredibly friendly and the beers were delicious. I would give ten stars if I could, will absolutely return again in the future.”
“Best custard/ice cream (same thing) I’ve ever had. It was so good I had to stop a second time before we left. I had the smores squatch, it is definitely better than a ”
