“We came to Sapphire NC for a visit from Atlanta Ga! We ate at Mica’s twice in 4 days that we spent here! Food was amazing both times ! Staff was incredible not only in service but the way they worked together was great as well ! Highly recommend !!”

“The service here is excellent. They have a new chef, and the menu has changed completely in the last few months. Shannon was a wonderful server: friendly and efficient. We went in on an off-season afternoon for a very early dinner, hungry from hiking all day. We ordered the grilled octopus appetizer, which was very good and cooked perfectly. Hubby ordered the sea bas and loved it. I was torn between the duck confit and squid ink linguine, and seriously wish I had chosen the linguini, but unfortunately, I chose wrongly. The duck was dried and overcooked, and tasted old. Such a disappointment, as our server said it was supposed to be really good. The 4 stars is because everything else was very good. Recommend this place but skip the duck.”

“I stopped here to replenish calories after a long hard day hiking in the backcountry chasing waterfalls. What a great decision! Food is delicious and reasonably priced. The patio has a great view overlooking a waterfall. Service was great as well. I ordered the Apollo Jalisco , excellent dish. The salsa was fresh and delicious.”

The service was efficient, polite, and on-time. We also had an afternoon lunch in the back where there is a putting green and other activities outside the bar. Dereck and his team are real pros. This place is a treasure and highly recommended.”

“This is a nice little Italian restaurant tucked away near the mountains not too far away from a lot of waterfall attractions and scenic overlooks.Food was really good and fresh, I just wanted to say thank you to the staff that was there. That accommodated us an hour before closing! We Came from the Charlotte Metro area to go to the shadow of the bear scenic overlook. After we were done we came by around 7:00 to get some food before we packed up. Highly recommend if you're in the mood for pizza or any pasta dish. Prices are a little on the heavier side. I will admit but can't complain considering it's probably one of the best spots in the area!The Baked Penne and Meatballs were fantastic and I wished I had a bigger appetite for the pizza!!”

“Very Good Mexican Food in Cashiers. The place has a very large menu, with a wide variety of choices--all at reasonable prices. I think the most expensive thing on the menu is a steak dish at like $15. Most choices are in the $8 to $9 range. The service is fast, so everything comes out hot. There is a full bar and their Texas margaritas are the best!”

“Cashiers offers a number of good restaurants, though some may be closed in the off season. If you don't want to drive to Brevard Cashiers has options. The Ugly Dog pub is a great choice. Good food served fast. The place was not crowded in March. The manager made the rounds to check on us. My wife needed gluten free. They don't have GF bread ? but they offered to give her the sandwich on the plate, no bun. They have a full bar with two big screen TV's over the bar. If you are in the area and don't want a chain restaurant, it's a good option.”

Also, $10 for a small bowl of guacamole which was full of tomatoes.Would I go again? Yes. Just wouldn't get the guacamole.Four stars due to price, nothing else.”

“Burger was quite good, omelet was okay. Got strange looks from what must be locals when we came in. Service was good. Order took a long time to arrive and two tables that came in after us received their food first. Server was much more attentive to the other tables. I wouldn't stop here again on my way through but wouldn't advise you against it.”
