Blink and you'll miss this little spot on 64, but when you do find it, do not hesitate to go in. There is a small dining room, and it is quiet, but let me tell you, much worth trying! We were staying down the road in Sapphire and saw this on the map. The food is high quality and very delicious. We all (4ppl) had some leftover which was a huge bonus! Don't skip the desserts to-go! We will certainly return if we are in the region again. Thank you!

We stumbled across this cute eatery by accident and we are so glad we did! The pizza was delicious, the waitress was super friendly, and we enjoyed front porch sitting. We can’t wait to return! We give 5 of 5 stars for food and atmosphere.

Based on the reviews, Villa Amato is a family-owned restaurant serving authentic Italian food. The chef is from Sicily, so the food is genuine and excellent. The pizzas are HUGE and described as a real Italian pie, with unbelievable sauce. Other menu items include meatballs, a meat lovers pizza, and a Hawaiian pizza. Prices are very economical and the food is reasonably priced. The atmosphere is casual, cozy, and relaxed inside a quaint log cabin with a fireplace. It is not fancy or dressy, so jeans are fine. The restaurant is BYOB with no corkage fee. It is highly recommended for a very casual night out with friends or family, and is family friendly but also perfect for a date night. The service is excellent. It is a gem along hwy 64 near Lake Toxaway.
