“We’ve eaten here three times in last two weeks. It’s the closest restaurant to our home and we love the atmosphere here. Greg and Josie have been our servers and both are friendly and knowledgeable. We love the station burger and wedge salad but we also love shrimp and grits and the recent bourbon chicken special.”

“I stopped here to replenish calories after a long hard day hiking in the backcountry chasing waterfalls. What a great decision! Food is delicious and reasonably priced. The patio has a great view overlooking a waterfall. Service was great as well. I ordered the Apollo Jalisco , excellent dish. The salsa was fresh and delicious.”

“This is a nice little Italian restaurant tucked away near the mountains not too far away from a lot of waterfall attractions and scenic overlooks.Food was really good and fresh, I just wanted to say thank you to the staff that was there. That accommodated us an hour before closing! We Came from the Charlotte Metro area to go to the shadow of the bear scenic overlook. After we were done we came by around 7:00 to get some food before we packed up. Highly recommend if you're in the mood for pizza or any pasta dish. Prices are a little on the heavier side. I will admit but can't complain considering it's probably one of the best spots in the area!The Baked Penne and Meatballs were fantastic and I wished I had a bigger appetite for the pizza!!”

“I don't travel much but when we do we love eating in mom and pops shops and I personally must say this one was one of the best Dinners I have ever had , Fresh nice size biscuit and gravy , home fries was amazing and flavorfull , I am very picky with restaurants coffee but their coffee was really good I took one to go . What an amazing experience I love food and this a place I would recommend great service great people and amazing food.”

“We just held our wedding reception there...it was off-season, so they didn't require we pay to reserve the whole taproom. They had a table ready for our food, a beautiful sign welcoming my new bride and myself, and tables ready for our party. There were a few others there, not with our party, but we enjoyed inviting them to take part in the festivities. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. It was perfect for the small laid-back reception that we wanted.”

“The service here is excellent. They have a new chef, and the menu has changed completely in the last few months. Shannon was a wonderful server: friendly and efficient. We went in on an off-season afternoon for a very early dinner, hungry from hiking all day. We ordered the grilled octopus appetizer, which was very good and cooked perfectly. Hubby ordered the sea bas and loved it. I was torn between the duck confit and squid ink linguine, and seriously wish I had chosen the linguini, but unfortunately, I chose wrongly. The duck was dried and overcooked, and tasted old. Such a disappointment, as our server said it was supposed to be really good. The 4 stars is because everything else was very good. Recommend this place but skip the duck.”

“Highly recommend. Don't let the look of the building fool you when you pull in. Fantastic meal and service. Definitely the best Italian restaurant on Plateau. Worth a drive. Wish they had a better bar for a drink before dining. Great place to bring another couple and enjoy evening .”
