“Excellent sushi! As a former restaurant inspector, I was always very impressed with how the staff at Sora handled their fish and this restaurant is one of the very few I order sushi from. The owners are extremely conscientious in maintaining food of excellent quality. Han is the main sushi chef and is always creating delicious combinations and special rolls. My husband loves both the beef and chicken basil. We've been dining here for almost 10 years and have always had excellent meals at Sora. We highly recommend it.”
“I love to camp and around Brevard is a great place, but I also like good coffee which I haven't figured out how to make in a campground. Stopped in here with my daughter and both of us had the best coffee we could remember. I had the Americana / coffee and she had the dirty chai. Pup cups for the dogs of course... Came back the next day for two different drinks and they were awesome as well.Seems like there can be a bit of a wait during the peak morning rush but it doesn't last long and it's well worth the wait anyway.Hopefully I'm not messing up the ranking by giving only four stars... especially when I'm not sure what to improve, but I'm a tough grader so don't let that throw you, it's great coffee. Almost forgot! she gave us some great tips for vegan food in Asheville and a couple of cool places to check out in the area as well. Now I really feel like a jerk for only giving four stars!”
“I absolutely love this place. It feels like someone has helped get it an all new design and it's great! I can't remember exactly what it's called but I love the curry fries. Our server April is a blast and Sheila is super awesome to talk to.”
“I come here regularly with my church the food the service the atmosphere is really great I loved every thing on the menu I ordered if you never been here before I suggest you check it out best place for Mexican food please stop in and dine I promise you'll love ”
“I drive past this spot several times a week, but had never tried it. We had a delicious dinner and enjoyed ourselves despite one obnoxiously loud patron (totally not the restaurant’s fault.) The flatbread was yummy and nicely plated and the breakfast burger was delightfully decadent. We really enjoyed the guitarist. The setting is pastoral, and I’m sure gorgeous in the Spring. Wine seemed a bit pricey. We will definitely try this place again.Vegetarian options: There were some vegetarian options.Kid-friendliness: I would not consider this place kid-friendly based on our first visit.”
“The ice cream was delicious!! I got the special flavor, blackberry cobbler and love it!! On the way to my car, I dropped my kid's strawberry ice cream on the floor. BUT the boy with the glasses kindly gave us another one, so thank you for being so kind!!!”
“They did an amazing job keeping up with everyone's orders. Very clean place and the atmosphere was very welcoming. The food was amazing!!The waitress really did do a great job! ”
“The best Subway sanwich that I've ever ate. Tried to call the Subway back to tell them how happy I was with the sandwich but recording came on that number was wrong or disconnected.”
“They were a little busy but many of the servers were chatting with tables and we were on a schedule of 2 hours and had to hurry up and eat the food because of this. The food was great will go back again and if the service is better next time I will change it to 5 stars.”
“It was just ok. Dining in restaurant in January was very cold. Food was hot but taco had broken pieces off the shell and the cheesy potatoes tasted a bit soggy (as if oil was a little old).”
“Idk why we waited so long to try this place. Best BBQ I've had around here. We had the special which wad a smoked bologna sandwich 10/10. We also had the brisket mac-n-cheese 10/10 and the smoked wings 10/10. Highly recommend if you have an urge for some delicious smoked ”
“Had a really enjoyable meal here, the night before AOTC ride. Everything was quite good, and service (sat at the bar) was friendly; they were a bit scattered, but I suspect it was an especially busy night.”
“We celebrated a wonderful 32nd anniversary and couldn't have picked a better place! The staff were very friendly and willing to assist throughout the meal. The food was excellent and the best we have had in a long time. The setting is beautiful! And we happened to be there on Thursday, where they offer a 20% discount for those who live locally.”
“I love stumbling upon a new (to me) find. I was driving down the road, and this tiny Mercado in a strip center caught my attention. Little did I know that it had a wonderful Taqueria joint attached to it. They had an extensive menu. Home-made tortillas? Yup! The meat ranged from the normal gringo styles (chicken and beef), to lengua, birria, and others. My server spoke very little english, but it didn't matter. She was nice and helpful. It seems like the shop next door serves the local Hispanic members of the community. This was a fantastic find!”
“Have you ever had a meal you sometimes think about without any prompting? That’s what Gordingo’s cali burrito is for me. They also have cool-looking specials that I don’t order, because I’m getting the Cali burrito.”
“We enjoyed our dinner. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. Our server was friendly and informative. The bartender came to our table to recommend our wine. He was so enthusiastic and knowledgable. We tried an Armenian wine and it was delicious. Our order included home made soup, wonderful, and several salads also fresh and tasty. Lamb burgers, Corsica burger and Mumbai were all excellent. Vegetarian options are available. The Bohemian will definitely be a new go to for us. It was a chilly wet night but we look forward to enjoying the outdoor terrace next visit.Vegetarian options: Mumbai, soups and salads.”
“Bracken Brown bread with molasses was taken home. It was one of the most flavorful and tender brown breads I gave ever eaten. The crossiants were flakey and buttery baked to perfection. The lemon curd Danish was also a ten.Chef Lorenzo”
“Holy Holy Holy Smoke!! Burnt ends were a kiss from an angel! The french fries crisp golden and sinful! The BBQ sauce is amazing for dipping fries and burnt ends! When you think it can't get any better BAM!! They hit you with the burnt end tacos! Only bad thing is it's a drive through on a terrible intersection.”
“Great food. Great staff. Nice atmosphere. We travel a good bit just to celebrate special occasions here! ❤️Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options even desserts”
“Flat white ++++ it’s 6 oz and so delicious, my husbands words, “it’s been a long time since I enjoyed coffee with milk” (we compare everything to our coffee drinking experiences in New Zealand)Pourover ++++ using single-origin beans from Cooperative coffee, roasted in west Asheville, and I’m biased because I am a subscription customer of them. But it was so refreshing & cost only $5!Will come again! thank you!Kid-friendliness: Some people studying quietly but no dirty looks about an excited baby”
“We have a new favorite restaurant ya'll, seriously. This is our second time, the first time was takeout. We loved the fried pickles, they are spears and full of flavor. The breading is great and doesn't take away the taste of the pickle. This trip we tried the fries, the are crispy and have a great seasoning. Each time we got the tenders basket, great crunchy breading and the chicken is done perfectly, not dried out at all. But the sauces, Lord, the sauces. THEY LET YOU SAMPLE WHATEVER YOU WANT!!! It's a sauce flight!! Boom! All of them are incredibly flavorful and truly epic. So far we have tried Poppin Cherry, Stimulation, Pattaya, Mediterranean (chunks of olives and feta), and Chili infused Java (yes, you can take the coffee). They have a parking lot which makes it easy. You order at the counter and they bring the food to the table. The staff is really friendly. They have 3 dining areas, one of which is outside but covered (can't wait to bring our cat during warmer weather). There are video and claw game machines in another section.”
“Update April, 2024: always came here for the burgers but appears as if co-owning with Victory has eliminated the GF buns! It's our last time here..sad as we really loved the many cider choices. :-(They've really done a good job of social distancing & enforcing masks when away from your immediate seating area. Good food too! They offer a GF bun & the bbq is too. Best burger I've had in a very long time! The Pineapple Freeze will knock your socks off...esp on a hot afternoon!”
“The big advantage is the fair pricing. Food is OK and you can get a good breakfast for a little more than a fast food place. If you’re around the area and looking for an economical dish give it a whirl.”
“EVERYTHING is always prepared with fresh! Staff is very helpful and happy to answer any questions..nice. And theres never enough words to express their wonderful (home made) deserts...???. Thanks Mike, Susan & Staff. Mary & ”
“I met a friend here for ice-cream a couple of weeks ago. The staff was extremely friendly, professional, courteous and kind. The ice-cream was nice and cold and sooo yummy. There is no inside dining, as it is an ice-cream stand. They have picnic tables to sit at and one could always eat in their car. They have a drive up window for ordering as well. I had such a wonderful time and look forward to going back. If you find yourself in Etowah, or passing through, I highly recommend you consider stopping in for something. They also have food items too. Based on my positive experience, I highly recommend.”
“We visited this brewery during our week long trip to Pisgah with our two German shorthair pointers. Our hike was rained out, though we attempted it anyway. After aborting the hike due to weather, we decided to look for a place to get a mid-day beer. We looked at a couple breweries, even drove to Sierra Nevada Brewery. SN was disappointing since their outdoor area was not covered nor open for service apparently. We then went to Burning Blush to check it out. This was also one of few places open at noon (and it was a weekday). Lucky for us, they allow pups inside, which was a plus given the weather. The place was quiet but as I said, was a weekday with terrible weather. The beers were great, the food truck was amazing, and the staff were very kind. They gave our pups a few biscuits (which they loved). My dogs are my kids, so I'm happy to have found this place! Def recommend if traveling with furry friends! We would 100% go back when we are in the area again. THANK YOU FOR YOUR KINDNESS TO OUR POINTERS!”
“This place is divine!! If you want strong, flavorful, unadultered coffee, this is your spot! It's definitely a hidden gem downtown. Also love all the fire station decor.”
“I had such a wonderful time at Tranquility! I had a foot massage, a shampoo with head massage, and a facial and it was heavenly! Everyone was so welcoming and kind, I felt right at home and so pampered.”
“The Massaman curry and the pineapple fried rice are to die for! I can’t wait to try other dishes on the menu. Great service, great atmosphere, great food! We’ll definitely be back.”
“This coffee shop is my favorite place to go to when in NC . I really like it because it has a good ambiance and not too crowded as well. The coffee was amazing and the pastries that they had were so delicious. The barista was so friendly and pleasant to talk with. I do highly recommend this place!!”
