“My wife and I celebrated our 55th wedding anniversary last night at Postero with not only an unbelievably delicious meal but with the best service ever. We have been to wonderful restaurants all over the world, but none better than Postero. As my business partner used to say before a special dinner, “sometimes we eat, sometimes we dine, tonight we dine.“ That statement is always appropriate at Postero.”

“This place is fantastic! My wife and I frequent the chimney rock location of Burntshirt Vineyards but with the disaster of hurricane Helene that has wiped out chimney rock, and my wife’s birthday being this week I figured I would take a chance at checking this location out and I’m so glad we did!

The staff was very friendly, from our waiter Landon(who gave my wife and I a tour of the facility after) to the manager Che and all the way down to the chef, Steve. It’s a very relaxed and laid back atmosphere which was so nice, we were close to the fireplace which was a nice touch since the weather was in the 40’s. My wife had their chicken salad sandwhich and potato wedges which she loved and I had their Cajun Chicken Pasta and it was the definition of delicious! Over all of this we had 2 wine flights, and to wrap it up their white chocolate bourbon bread pudding and it’s by far the best I’ve ever had. Bread pudding is one of my all time favorite desserts and this was the best without question.

If you and your family, or you and your s/o are looking to get out and enjoy a delicious meal in a place of relaxation, this is absolutely it. Their wine assortment is great and the wine slushies they have also, are super refreshing on top of being tasty!

The atmosphere behind the restaurant with outdoor seating was really nice, they have a fire pit outside so you can relax even in the chilly weather, but should also be a great atmosphere for the summertime under the stars.”

“I want to do a shout out to a Sam’s Club employee at the Hendersonville location. Today I went to pick up one of my medications which normally is not that expensive. But because of a mix up it was going to be well over $375 for a months supply in stead of $25 for a 3 months supply. Christina work very hard with my insurance company and was able to get it worked out so I could have my life saving medication. The folks at Sam’s don’t always get the credit they deserve but for seniors this is the place to go for your meds. Christina, thank you from this Old Guy!!!!”

Wow are we glad. the food was simply amazing. we had Carmel apple pancakes (to die for!), biscuits and sausage gravy, and a chorizo omelet. Not only was the atmosphere quaint and the service very friendly but the food was DELICIOUS and the owner (Matthew) is awesome. This spot is a GEM in Hendersonville. *** As we were finishing up our meal and paying the check Matthew came around to *each* table with a free cookie - spreading kindness and love and asking everyone to call a friend or family member and tell them how much they mean to you (as he had just lost a close friend). I will be back to help support this local business and all the good they have in their heart and share with others! ...(and order the "Dearest David" sandwich - yum!)”

As a Latino, I am very specific about where I like to eat due to authenticity, but this place is not only authentic, but it is also fresh, fast and delicious. they have a lot of delicious options that are extremely affordable. I got the burrito platter which comes with a giant burrito. That’s over a pound chips and queso for only $10.99! You literally cannot beat that!! Also, it has a chipotle style counter, which gives you the options of adding whatever you want to your burrito with no up charge. I make sure I always get a tamale with my meal because they are the bomb!! If you never had a Salvadoran tamale, I 100% suggest you do!”

“Great food, Great folks, Great place to watch a game! We had stopped in once before when they were opening, but this was our first time at Tartan's to watch a game. As an LSU fan at Apple Fest I was happy to see an open table and the game on a big screen. When a table in front of us opened up I looked for our server to ask about moving. The owner noticed me looking and asked who I needed, and when I explained he sent us to the new table, and asked if we wanted a different game put on near us. I said no, and that I was there to watch LSU, so he left. Moments later the music went off and audio of the game came on in our area and he came back to make sure we could hear it saying that he knew we'd enjoy the game more with the audio on. How awesome is that??? Our hostess Kayla and our server (I forgot her name - shame on me!) were awesome and provided excellent service the entire time even with festival crowds. I was set to order a Reuben because it was recommended....but after seeing wings delivered to a table nearby I changed my order. The Garlic-Parm wings were delicious. As advertised they were both "Jumbo" and "Crispy" and the garlic parm sauce was great. My wife got a burger and said it was very good. She even mentioned the bread specifically and we found out later that all their bread is flown in from New York so that must be why it stood out to her. We shared a plate of Philly Cheesesteak Fries and they were also delicious. Crispy shoestring fries topped with lots of meat, cheese, and peppers....so good! The three things I hope for when dining out are; great food, served by great folks, at great prices, and I felt that Tartan's hit the target on all three. An owner interested and involved in providing great customer service was a bonus! It was a fun atmosphere to watch a game and enjoy good food and a cold beer. (or a few cuz I was staying a short walk away and didn't have to worry about driving!). Next time you're in the Hendersonville, NC area and looking for a place to watch a game, give Tartan's a try...I don't think you'll be disappointed! Try the cheesesteak fries! ;-)”

Incredible Tacos and Torta at Taquira El Chuy!

I recently had the pleasure of stopping by Taquira El Chewy, and it’s easily the best taco truck I've ever experienced. The Pastor Torta was out of this world—juicy, perfectly seasoned, and loaded with flavor in every bite. I also tried two Pastor Tacos, and they were just as fantastic, with a deliciously soft tortilla and a mouthwatering balance of spices. My wife loved her three Chicken Tacos, which were tender, fresh, and cooked to perfection. We washed it all down with two bottles of Yoritos orange soda, which paired perfectly with the food. The team at Taquira El Chewy clearly puts heart into every dish, and the food quality and service were top-notch. If you're a fan of authentic Mexican street food, this is the place to go. I'll definitely be coming back for more and recommend it to everyone in the area!”

“I'm going to get right to the point. I went to Tully's Cafe today after a business meeting with two of my friends, I was the first to arrive! I walked in and grabbed a table and then all of a sudden out of nowhere comes this big huge smile walking towards us, instantly felt comfortable and welcomed! My friends finally arrived and the server, who was by herself at the time (it was around 2:00 in the afternoon) greeted us, went over the specials, and got our drinks! In the meantime a couple more tables came in, she seemed to know them all! Now let me tell you about this server, she did not even ask guest what they wanted to drink (she just knew), most of the guest, she knew what they were going to eat as well, I myself heard her ask a couple tables are you going to have your regular today? This server was by herself and I counted nine tables that she had, she kept everyone's drink full, our food arrived to us in a timely fashion, and she kept that huge smile on her face. She did tell us her name, but I regret that I have since forgotten! She was small with a great big smile and a ballcap (The cap said bad hair day) We all had a good laugh over that! She really wow"d us. And did I mention, that this was all right at closing and she never rushed us, she kept our drinks full, even offered dessert! The food was all fresh, large portions, arrived quickly, everything we ate was amazing, high recommendations on the potato salad, I think it's the best I've had in a while! I've read so many bad reviews lately about service and restaurants and I wanted everyone to know that great servers still exist, she was the best we've ever had, come find her at Tolley's Cafe! This will now be our GO TO place, and please give that server a pat on the back, she's a keeper!”

Every single dish was excellent and authentic. The owner even gave us a sample of their house made sauce for the spring rolls, which was a nice treat! We got to talking with the owner and found out they took over this restaurant 2 months ago, and you could tell immediately she and her family put their heart and soul into this place. Expertly created by Chef McKenzie at the Dixie Diner in Hendersonville, NC. My English Muffin was toasted to perfection. The girl has talent! It was absolutely AMAZING! I ate it slow so I could relish every single bite. Today, Hayley was our waitress extraordinaire. We enjoy having our Sunday breakfast at Dixie. “Mike's is our favorite pizza in town. However, it's about a B- compared to other places we check out when out of town. For starters cost, although in line with other places, the overall value isn't great. For example, a $20.00 pepperoni pizza should have enough pepperoni to cover at least 1/2 to surface, not a smattering of a dozen pieces across the top. We like it, but we hope for better.”
