Check out our list of the best Mexican restaurants in Hendersonville.
“First night in town and wanted something easy. Everything is made to order. All of it seemed to be authentic Salvdoran and or Mexican. We had nachos, a burrito, and some papoosas . Everything was really good. We sampled several sauces from the sauce bar. I'd go again. One person in our party has spent a lot of time in Central America and she really enjoyed the food. A lot of native spanish speakers were there eating as well. Worth the stop“
“The best shrimp quesadilla you can get in 50 miles with sine of their Awesome red hot sauce and AI for extra limes and you have a perfect lunch. Another seriously good hidden gem. The steak isn’t my favorite.. tends to be a little tougher than necessary the times I’ve tried it. They have Mexican Coke in the bottle which is a big yes. Don’t go there for their ambiance. Go there for a quick to go order, they accept order aheads. But seriously, the pastor tacos with extra lime and their red hot sauce is very crave-able and especially the shrimp quesadilla.. just to be clear.. on the shrimp…. Quesadilla….. Yep.“
“My husband and I visited for a quick bite on our way in to Asheville and it was amazing! We tried the chicken quesadilla, carne asada taco, and chorizo tacos and they were some of the best we’ve ever had! The staff is very kind and their little seating area was very clean and decorated with beautiful plants. You can tell a lot of thought went into the space and the food.“
“The food was amazing, our server not so much. Can’t remember her name but she was an older lady who rolled her eyes at us for asking for more chips and never came back to check on us after she finished bringing out the food. The rest of the staff was super friendly and personable, definitely going back in hopes that someone else waits on us so we can sample more delicious food!“
“This place was an unbelievable surprise! A killer variety of tacos from grilled fish, carnitas, thai peanut chicken, bulgogi beef to steak and cheese. Awesome flavors with everything made fresh on the premises. They are definitely on my radar screen when traveling in this area.“
“There were 25 ladies for lunch in the private back room. Our food was excellent and we had a very short wait, especially considering the number of people. Our waiter was friendly and absolutely excellent. We look forward to returning again soon.“
“I live across the street from this taco truck for years now and they have always been so kind and so good at what they do. They learned my order after the first 3rd time I ordered. They have even let me go for being a few cents short before though only try to come when I can tip them because they are awesome ❤️“
“I hate to say it, because I don't want this place to get saturated with gringos. But this is the most legit taco shop that I've been to in the area. bomb mexican food. Probably not for the White Duck crowd. No trendy BS, just old school cocineras turning out the OG comida. thank you taqueria Gonzales.“
“Stopped out of curiosity- wasn't terribly hungry. I was greeted with a smile and told that 2 tacos would be perfect for my hunger level. Don't know what got into me- I generally don't order fish from a food truck unless I'm familiar with it- but I had a hankering for it so got the fish tacos. I was so pleasantly surprised. And for $6, you cannot go wrong. The location is kind off the beaten path, and there were still cars in and out mid-afternoon. So obviously this place is a known little treasure.Clean.You can call orders ahead at 828-458-3370 (I should've took a pic of the menu. Next time, because I will definitely go back).“
“Hubby had the quesabirria, I had the burria taco and a pork tamale. Oh, + the broth! Not gonna say we ate it all, but YUM!! We had our dog with us, so sat at picnic table. So much good food, so much good flavor, so much good hospitality as she helped carry the food to our table. So much good. Go. Your belly will be happy. We'll be going back again, and again...busy road noise, but terrific food.“
