“They treat you like family as soon as you walk in. And that’s a plus for me. It’s like eating at someone’s house. I was a it under the weather and just wanted some chicken soup. Sopa de pollo. Fuego. It was delicious. It might not always be busy but that doesn’t matter. That just means your food is going to come out delicious, cause it’s not being rushed. They’re food is always made with love. The most important ingredient. Gracias por la sopa y hasta luego.“

“I always come here with a big group of people for brunching on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon - so we are usually too hungover to care enough to take photos haha! But - the lobster nachos are my go-to. The place is usually pretty crowded but we just meander around downtown until a table opens up. Great food, great service, great vibe. Thumbs up!“

“Food and service are both fantastic – some of the best Mexican food I've had in Asheville. Unlike other places, the food isn't *too* fast – you actually have a moment to take a sip of your drink before your meal comes out. My one disappointment is that they only have a changing table in the women's restroom – FYI men have children too! Granted it's a single-occupancy restroom so I could still use the women's restroom if needed, but that kind of thing can be controversial in North Carolina post-HB2 so it would be nice if they had equal facilities.Kid-friendliness: Great kids menu, unfortunately they only have a changing table in the women's restroom“

“I love this place!! I'm from New Mexico and have been eating Mexican food all my life, and this place is great. Food is simple, affordable, and delicious! Plus, it's family owned and run, and they are so friendly and accommodating. My daughter decided she is vegetarian and they happily accommodated her, inventing a new Torta (sandwich) on the fly. The dining area is really small, and sometimes you have yo wait for a table, but it's worth it. P.S. the Birria is the best I've ever tasted. Oh, and the tamales next door are to die for.“

“This is a must have for downtown Asheville. Friends told us about it so we made a point to check it out. It was worth the cost of downtown parking.Tacos, nachos and drinks that were really good. The nachos are huge and you pick your toppings!Going back for the fish tacos ? our friend recommended. The line moves kind of slow because they are making the food right in front of you, but it is worth the wait.Vegetarian options: The vegetarian here options were good.“

“The Carnitas (pork) Burrito was full of flavor, the avocado, other fresh ingredients and verde green sauce were all very good. Most of the tortilla was completely burnt, but the parts that weren't tasted so amazing. The onions & peppers were overpowering all the good stuff, but that's just my opinion as Lebowski would say. Service was decent enough, waited at the picnic table area. I'd recommend it, but I didn't have the same 5-star experience as most people have had here. Viva taco trucks!Parking: Large free parking lot“

“Stumbled upon this place while hosting an out of town friend. We were welcomed as soon as we walked in. Very laid back, nice atmosphere. We opted to sit at the bar for drinks & dinner. Tim was very friendly and answered a few questions we had about the menu. I had the Paloma and my friend had the Tequila old fashioned. Probably the best Paloma I've ever had. I tasted the old fashioned too, & it was amazing! Chips & salsa was really good- fresh, thick chips and a nice variety of salsas. Then.. the meals! Flavor, texture, presentation.. it was all amazing and fresh, high quality ingredients. I will spread the word about this place because it's really the best Mexican restaurant we've been to in Asheville.“

“So yummy! Being born and raised in San Diego, California has developed my taste buds to be very particular when it comes to Mexican food. My husband and I are big on street tacos, so naturally that is what we ordered. We tried the Pastor, Asada, Chicken, and Carnitas which were all delicious. I also ordered a side of rice and beans, very good. The salsa bar was fresh and on point. The staff were prompt and polite. We just moved to the area and are soooooo happy to find a place locally to get our fix!“

“This establishment may have the best authentic Mexican food in the area. I enjoy Mexican food often, but being my first time here i was quickly pleased to have found it.Chips and salsa were original and in house made. Salsa had an unique flavor that is lacking at most places. The menu was descriptive and had all the favorites, some dishes not seen often, kids menu, and included drinks. My margarita was strong enough I wasn't wanting another, but got another because it was so good. The atmosphere was inviting and had living decor, I sat near a beautiful healthy aloe vera cactus. Tables weren't crammed into the room leaving plenty of room for others. My waitress was awesome, was quick to ask our drink order, brought them then asked if we were ready to order. After a learning I was a Tacos Jalisco first timer she gave me plenty of time. I can see how one would have a favorite dish and know their order right away. Not only is she friendly, she has a beautiful smile which I'm sure brings joy to those around her.The food was hot and made to order, no reheating or thawing, house made tortillas came wrapped in foil. Green and red salsa brought to the table. Sizzling steak fajitas, enchiladas with that good enchilada sauce. No rush, sweet tea refills before my date knew she needed one, same with my water.I was expecting the bill to be higher as places around here are, but it was quite reasonable even with my 2 margaritas. I paid what I was expecting anyway. It's nice when the staff gets that extra instead of the corporate entity.“

“Best tacos I’ve ever had in my life!! Cali nor Vegas got nothing like these ? Tried all the different taco meats and there was none that I didn’t like. And the salsas were just perfect ? Very generous amount of meat and sides ?? 10/10 recommended. Will definitely comeback when in the area. Girl who took my order was nice as well ?“
“After moving here from the Denver area, we were pretty bummed about the lackluster Mexican food in the area. The fact that some of the absolute best Mexican food we've found in Asheville is this truck that's less than a mile from home is a godsend. Well worth the drive if you don't live close, I promise!“

Last week I had it in about the same time! Your food is incredible, prices are reasonable and everything is piping hot. Thank you so much!“

“I ordered on Uber so I can’t say anything about service or atmosphere. I am from Asheville of 30 years. Seen this place but never went in, chose it because nothing else was available on the app. I was really impressed. The salsa had a nice garlicky taste, chips were good, and I really loved the taco salad. It tasted very fresh and the chicken was shredded and tasty. I had been disappointed by other taco salads I’ve had previously — ole guacamole and papas and beer, for example— no good. I recommend this place and will take a trip there sometime.“

“Really huge portion of enchiladas, covered in sauce and cheese. Decadent and flavorful, the meal came with rice and beans as well. We got takeout and it was very well packaged and remained hot until we got it on the table. Chips and dip also a huge hit. Would like to visit again soon to sample more of the menu.“

“The steak tacos were excellent! Lots of cilantro, a few more onions would be good but overall, super yummy. I had the chicken/mexican sausage sopes. The sopes was really chewy and kind of hard. Didn’t get a taste of sausage but enjoyed the flavors. I’ll be back for taco, for sure!“
