“We are traveling across NC and wanted some lunch. Randomly found this on Google and gave it a try... Holy moly!!!! Outstanding!!! Great, fresh, legit street tacos! The chorizo was just perfect. As was the pollo, asada and al pastor. The red side sauce was brilliant. If you are hungry stop here and get your taco fix. It will not disappoint and now I know why it has such high reviews. THANK YOU FOR THE GREAT FOOD! I live in Southern California, about 2 hours from Mexico... I'm pretty familiar with amazing Mexican food!And @Joe K who gave one star, complained about no bathroom, limited parking, no seating? ITS A TACO TRUCK... And one of the best I've ever eaten at. Unreal... LOL And the meat was not even close to double grilled... Go back to Taco Bell where they have all the seating you want, tons of parking, lots of toilets... and tacos made with 49% meat that taste like cardboard. Sounds like the place for you!“

“Hands down the best torta in the hvl avl area. Food was delicious and cooked to perfection. I’ve gone around to each taco truck and taqueria in the area and this one easily comes out on top. As a Latino, I am very specific about where I like to eat due to authenticity, but this place is not only authentic, but it is also fresh, fast and delicious. they have a lot of delicious options that are extremely affordable. I got the burrito platter which comes with a giant burrito. That’s over a pound chips and queso for only $10.99! You literally cannot beat that!! Also, it has a chipotle style counter, which gives you the options of adding whatever you want to your burrito with no up charge. I make sure I always get a tamale with my meal because they are the bomb!! If you never had a Salvadoran tamale, I 100% suggest you do!“

Incredible Tacos and Torta at Taquira El Chuy!

I recently had the pleasure of stopping by Taquira El Chewy, and it’s easily the best taco truck I've ever experienced. The Pastor Torta was out of this world—juicy, perfectly seasoned, and loaded with flavor in every bite. I also tried two Pastor Tacos, and they were just as fantastic, with a deliciously soft tortilla and a mouthwatering balance of spices. My wife loved her three Chicken Tacos, which were tender, fresh, and cooked to perfection. We washed it all down with two bottles of Yoritos orange soda, which paired perfectly with the food. The team at Taquira El Chewy clearly puts heart into every dish, and the food quality and service were top-notch. If you're a fan of authentic Mexican street food, this is the place to go. I'll definitely be coming back for more and recommend it to everyone in the area!“

“WE have always had great service here and unlike one review ( which was probably a competitor) the owners and staff have always been extremely helpful and polite. When my wife calls ahead, they recognize her voice and ask if she wants the regular, which for us has been the sopes. We have taken many family members here and just hung out at their tables and eaten and reordered until we can't eat any more. Great place“

“Delicious salsas - you get your own from the Salsa bar. Reasonable prices and great service. I got the Chipotle Burrito. Nice portion with great flavor and a perfect blend in the cheese sauce. My wife the Fajita Quesadilla. The Quesadilla was too big for her to finish. The meat was nicely spiced and her meal was very tasty.“

“Super solid place to eat. Walked in with the husband about an hour to close and got a papusa mix, fried plantains, and 2 jerk chicken burritos as combos.
Older dude running the register was super nice and helpful and totally upsold us the plantains(so so worth it)
Service was honestly some of the best I've had.

Papusas were some of the best I've ever had and came out sooo hot and melty
Plantains were heavenly!
Cheese dip was not the best
Beandip was bomb
Jerk chicken was really good but I felt could've had more spice. All the toppings tasted fresh and were amazing.

“I honestly do not understand the bad reviews. Every time I have come in, before the storm and after, the service and food is excellent. The spice level is good, the portions are HUGE, the wait was like a few seconds. The place is clean, the tables are full and being seen by attentive and friendly staff. This restaurant is great!“

“Niyah was pleasant, efficient, knowledgeable on the menu, anticipating our needs. Taco Boy menu is great—the salsa with chips is very tasty and fresh-made on-site each day. The chips are thin, light, and lightly salted, also freshly made and spectacular. We also had the shrimp quesadillas, and fried ice creams. Can’t say enough about the generous portion of shrimp, the seasoning, and presentation! We had patio seating on a beautiful, September evening! And all-round pleasure. “The food was excellent, the atmosphere during the lunch was pretty decent. Food came out pretty fast. My only complaint would be that the prices on the meals are too expensive. I understand that everything has gone up in cost. But as much as they’re charging is a ridiculous.“

“I love beef tongue tacos and honestly have a crazy high standard for them and these were very much up to the task. I also got cheek tacos for my first time and they were good enough I wasn’t sad I didn’t get all tongue. Tacos come with onion cilantro lime wedges and 2 sauces. I recommend using lime and both sauces and you are going to be very happy with your lunch. Also 4 tacos for 12.80$ can’t be beat nowadays especially with flavor that makes them worth even more.“
