“My favorite Mexican Restaurant!! Staff, food, atmosphere...family owned and operated...I go there at least 2 to 3 times a month... love it!“

“Super solid place to eat. Walked in with the husband about an hour to close and got a papusa mix, fried plantains, and 2 jerk chicken burritos as combos.
Older dude running the register was super nice and helpful and totally upsold us the plantains(so so worth it)
Service was honestly some of the best I've had.

Okay the food...
Papusas were some of the best I've ever had and came out sooo hot and melty
Plantains were heavenly!
Cheese dip was not the best
Beandip was bomb
Jerk chicken was really good but I felt could've had more spice. All the toppings tasted fresh and were amazing.

“I love beef tongue tacos and honestly have a crazy high standard for them and these were very much up to the task. I also got cheek tacos for my first time and they were good enough I wasn’t sad I didn’t get all tongue. Tacos come with onion cilantro lime wedges and 2 sauces. I recommend using lime and both sauces and you are going to be very happy with your lunch. Also 4 tacos for 12.80$ can’t be beat nowadays especially with flavor that makes them worth even more.“

All the filling choices are delicious. If a fried plantain isn’t in one of your tacos, order them as a side! (even though they aren’t on the menu)

Best House Margarita in town! Impressive sports bar. Even the chairs are works of art -- hand painted wood carvings and metal imprints of primitive scenes throughout. We've frequented all the local TexMex venues for 30 years. Orale's Bar & Grill is the stand-out best in Asheville.“

“Stumbled upon this place while hosting an out of town friend. We were welcomed as soon as we walked in. Very laid back, nice atmosphere. We opted to sit at the bar for drinks & dinner. Tim was very friendly and answered a few questions we had about the menu. I had the Paloma and my friend had the Tequila old fashioned. Probably the best Paloma I've ever had. I tasted the old fashioned too, & it was amazing! Chips & salsa was really good- fresh, thick chips and a nice variety of salsas. Then.. the meals! Flavor, texture, presentation.. it was all amazing and fresh, high quality ingredients. I will spread the word about this place because it's really the best Mexican restaurant we've been to in Asheville.“

“WE have always had great service here and unlike one review ( which was probably a competitor) the owners and staff have always been extremely helpful and polite. When my wife calls ahead, they recognize her voice and ask if she wants the regular, which for us has been the sopes. I will say that they weren't Filled w/ fish - I'm a simple one and like lots of fish w/ just the right amount of complimentary flavor- but they Did have enough fish that you could taste it all together and they were just right for what they were. We are on our way to our final destination now - full and raving about lunch. First thing that was given to us was a large round corn tortilla with salsa on top. It was not spicy, and it was just enough to whet our appetites. Delicious! We are grateful that we did not fill up by eating customary chips and salsa. The menu was huge, and it was difficult to decide on just one thing. Due to a dental procedure, I had to find something soft. The cheese quesadilla fit the bill and it was perfect. The included salad was different and amazing: cucumber, tomato, dried banana slice, apple slices, and lettuce with Caesar dressing. Husband raved about his cheese grilled burrito with chicken, rice, and the same salad. If you are in the area, and you like authentic Mexican food, this is the place for you. We will make it a stop anytime we are in the area so we can try more of the menu items!“

The chips are thin, light, and lightly salted, also freshly made and spectacular. We also had the shrimp quesadillas, and fried ice creams. Can’t say enough about the generous portion of shrimp, the seasoning, and presentation! We had patio seating on a beautiful, September evening! And all-round pleasure.
