Mountain Madre Mexican Kitchen & Agave Bar North AVL is a very well decorated space with a fantastic and nice atmosphere. The food is good Mexican food, with dishes like chicken tacos all made with fresh produce and beautifully prepared. The rice and beans are sooo good and not an afterthought. The house margarita and margaritas are great. Service is great with a great waiter. It is a good place for a big party and is great for kids. However, it is very, very loud inside and can be pretty pricey, with chips and salsa extra. Crowds form after 6pm. The renovation is nice, transforming the space from its previous incarnations into a vibrant community restaurant.
