Shakedown is the best place around. great atmosphere, terrific staff, relaxing, and by far the best kava/tea room in the state of North Carolina!!!!! 10 out of 10
I have visited all the Kava bars in the Western NC/ East TN area, and have one that a frequent several times a week. I frequently visit Hendersonville for family and was hyped to have one open up there. Unfortunately this was a very bad experience. We get there and are approached by an unattended dog that followed us inside. The dog was by no means aggressive, but it was just odd, and I was worried about it being in the parking lot. I have been to the shakedown lounge multiple times in order to buy some kava. I go after 4 o’clock everytime. The first time I went, some worker was outside and just walked in the door and locked it behind them, didn’t even say anything to us. The second time, I got there at 6pm… the lights were on and open sign was flashing. The door was locked, I could hear people inside so I tried to open the door and knock.. no response.
