“I wish we had a restaurant like this in California. The outside looked like an empty rundown building with old animal statues on the roof. Boy was I wrong, it was the ambience of this place that struck me. When we walked in we found a long line of guests waiting to order their food. The highest price was $10 for a combo dinner that included a 1/2 barbecue chicken, two sides, hush puppies or Texas toast, a drink, and taxes, $10 total! The next day we did take out without the drink, Pulled pork,the two sides, three hush puppies, or toast, $8.50. I could barely finish the meals. They were tasty.“
“This place is wonderful!!!! Not only was the food was delicious!, and fresh, but The service was exactly want you desire from a restaurant! My child has peanut and tree nut allergies and they were so accommodating checking labels and ingredients for us! They were friendly and professional! My tea was fresh, and the pulled pork was awesome!! The atmosphere is very comfortable too! We'll be back for sure!“
“We came for the Pizza, but the blonde that I am, saw buffalo mozzarella and I was Out!!!!STOP, ladies and you know who you are, just like me and think oh heck no I'm not eating buffalo cheese!!! BUT I did not ask until it changed my mind and I got BBQ, and then I got the nerve up to ask the waitress and she died laughing, and said honey you not the only one!!!!! So, I promise we coming back for the Pizza, especially when you see the oven it's cooked in, what!!! “I really love this place, the food is good, the staff are really nice, and the brisket is wonderful. A personal highlight for me is the fried okra. I wish they still had baked potatoes, but they don’t. If they have it, you should get the pecan pie. It is totally worth the calories.“
