“I was just passing through with my mom, and decided to stop here to fill the empty spot. The prices were fair, and the food was delivered in less than 3 minutes. Mom ordered a pulled pork sandwich with Cole slaw and potato salad, while I ordered the large (6 bones) rib platter with collard greens and Mac and cheese. Each platter comes with cornbread as well. The collard greens were some of the best I've ever had! The Mac and cheese was par, but did the job. Now the ribs... ? They melted in my mouth as they slid off of the bone. The cornbread was PERFECT, they didn't crumble everywhere and a a slight amount of sweetness. Mom said the pulled pork and slaw were yummy. Definitely worth stopping in for a bite to eat.“
“Some friends had recommended we try Huli Sue’s while in Asheville. This place is a must-visit! Great vibes, delicious food and unique flavours. The mochiko chicken sandwich, the nachos, and the BBQ (especially the ribs) were all awesome. We also grabbed a brownie to go. Will definitely be back next time we are in Asheville.“
“Went here last weekend. The owner was very nice. She let us try the meat and the sauce. They have family meals and individual ones. We wanted to get some of each meat to share. She made the suggestion of buying half a pound of each. We picked baked beans and Fry's. Had a choice of hush puppies or buns. Had two large sweet teas. Less than $40 before I added the tip. We ate lunch. Had supper at home and had enough left to freeze for a meal later on. Covered seating out side. Can take it with you. Worth the trip from Leicester. Great food very friendly people. Glad we found it. Will be back. Ohh one sauce is sweet. The other I think they said was sweet with a little spice.“
“I eat and have drinks here often. The Reems Creek Grill is onsite at the Reems Creek Golf Course. This grill offers a nice menu for appetizers and meals. Food is well prepared and the service is quick and friendly. Add on a full bar and probably the most beautiful view in NC, and you have a great lunch and dinner option when in the Asheville area.“
“The pulled pork combo is pretty good. Glad the pulled pork isn't chopped up like every other place seems to do for some reason. The mac & cheese was on the greasy tasteless side. Potato salad was on the overcooked side bordering on the mashed potato side. The cornbread was the best part of the meal and I normally don't like cornbread. It was moist, hot, and flavorful. It's odd how more and more places are adopting what is called a "combo," but the drink always seems to not be part of the "combo." The meal was filling, but the price was a little on the high side ($13.50 + drink cost, tax, and tip) considering the amount of pulled pork. Fix the massive hole in the parking lot!“
“This place isn't like your typical authentic Japanese spot. It's more like a fusion vibe, catering to the American palate, which is kinda cool, right? The ribs were absolutely delicious, and those skewers were on point! Everything was just so yummy! ? Though I gotta say, the sushi made with fried rice balls was just okay, nothing too special. But hey, can we talk about the service? It was seriously top-notch! ?“
“Tiger Bay Cafe and Battle Cat Coffee Bar are located in the same building but SEPARATE businesses / counters inside. Be aware so you that you wait in the correct line. Once you get past that confusion and find the counter in the back, the menu is small but appetizing. Not many substitutions but that is fine. Wait was about 20 mins for two sandwiches, but my wife and I both found them tasty and worth the wait!Good meal and glad we stopped in.“
“I've been told about this place by many locals and I have to say... They were not wrong about the quality of product being presented, I had lunch with my food rep and he mentioned that this was his favorite kind of barbeque as well. (Texas/Kansas mix I believe) I had some burnt ends too which I somehow didn't get a picture of apparently, the customer service was as great as it gets, they were very knowledgeable and had a strong sense of pride backing their work/product. I will definitely be back! I'll review the brewery Attached later on, the brew-flight I had after my meal was phenomenal.“
“Where do I start. I absolutely love Doc Brown’s. The customer service is truly the definition of southern comfort and hospitality. The food has always been consistently amazing throughout the years. I got the tri-tip plate last night and it was so wonderful, I ate it all with no regrets. Local brews on tap, and the most reasonably priced in the area. Live music is coming back for the season, and it’s always so fun and refreshing to see the community get out and have a nice time. Thanks Doc Brown’s!“
“Great pulled pork and sides. I haven't had anything bad on the menu. BBQ pork is not fatty or greasy. Great tasting sauce.Very clean and organized establishment. Friendly staff. Little pricier choice for fast on the go foods but top quality product. I eat here every time I can.“
“Black Bear BBQ catered my wedding in September and let’s just say every guest & family members were all completely blown away by every item on the menu. We had the fried chicken and pulled pork, best meats any of us have ever had and that fried chicken was some of the best in the world. The mushroom crostini (my favorite) and bruschetta were amazing. The mac & cheese, mashed potatoes, carrots & apples… those were some of the best sides I’ve ever put in my mouth. You can taste every ounce of love that is put into every bite of Black Bear BBQ. We had the mud pie, apple crumble and banana pudding for our dessert station and let’s just say…there were no leftovers! I cannot wait to make my way back to Asheville and revisit the place that made our wedding day so special and comforting. Thank y’all again for the amazing food and service. I recommend Black Bear BBQ to anyone who wants the best, freshest made with love home cooking in the world ♥️“
“Damn this place was amazing! Everything was delicious, sides, main meats, everything! The bacon wrapped meatballs were the star of the show along with the smoked turkey breast. Ambiance was nice, we sat outside and the live music wasn't too loud. Service was fast and there wasn't a line at the time. We went back on our last day in Asheville to get a dozen meatballs to-go!“
“Fascinating place with great food. Eclectic atmosphere with plenty of outdoor seating. We enjoyed the graffiti. Food was great. You will have to line up and place your order at the counter as you enter. It didn't take long and they brought our food out to our table. Plenty of beer options.“
“The great oysters and seafood are amazing! Try the North Carolina oysters! They are the best. And the menu is very sensitive to food/diet restrictions. I have Celiacs but have FRIED Oysters every visit! The burgers are also amazing! LOVE Little Pearl!“
“All I can say is WOW!!! The new management they recently took over is flat out amazing!! They have REALLY good specials and the food is simply amazing!!! I definitely recommend coming here if you love barbecue and good food!!! The owner Nick took really good care of my friends and I and was truly appreciative of us giving him our business!! I would give this place 10 stars if I could!!!“
“We stopped here while on a Carolina Waterfall Tour. Even though it’s right on the side of the road the setting is lovely. The porch has about 10/12 rocking chairs and there are some picnic tables with umbrellas. The ice cream was good but they were out of two flavors. And enjoyable stop.“
“Was with a big group of 14 us. Most of them were in wheelchairs which we were able to choose to sit. Most of us sat out on the covered patio and the others sat inside. We all had a wonderful time and enjoyed the quick service. Thanks for the great service!!Wheelchair accessibility: Patio seating was the best area for those in wheelchairs.“
“Their broasted chicken is so juicy and the flavor is delicious! Really great and super affordable take out to feed a family gathering of 6 for under $55! Pulled pork, 12 pieces of chicken, potato salad, baked beans, coleslaw and yummy hush puppies!“
“Superb customer service I've ever gotten the entire year. I was really shocked how outstanding the service was, today was my son's birthday. Ronlando, the manager, and his staff demonstrated efficiency, leadership, dedication, and communication. Their warm hospitality is the reason I go out to eat; they were so polite when they seated and welcomed us, making everyone feel completely at home.He assisted my disabled sister with her seat, then followed up to make sure everything was alright.Whenever I had any concerns or questions , I valued being acknowledged and taken seriously. The food was great and really fresh. They then came out and began singing "Happy Birthday to my son in the end." I had a great experience , and I will be returning soon.“
“I’ll give a generous 4 stars. The atmosphere was great, the waitress was amazing. The food was ehh. I ordered the 20oz ribeye med rare and it came out absolutely blue lol. I’m not disappointed necessarily because I’d rather it be under cooked than over cooked (personal opinion). With that said, a steak place should know how to cook every single steak properly. Therefore one star lost lol.“
“After trying several Asheville BBQ places that were lackluster for us, we are so glad we came here. The atmosphere was simple, comfy, and laid back. There are several tables both covered and uncovered, charming lights, and heaters to keep you warm. The service was friendly, quick and well packaged. We ordered to go- 1 lb of pulled pork, 2 sauces (the Texas one and the vinegar based one), with pickles and buns. The pork was fantastic- tender, juicy, and flavorful, and the the sauces packed a delicious punch. Brioche buns added extra yum and the pickles were a great surprise- crunchy and flavorful dill. Very fair prices, also. We will be back.“
