“Being from Florida, I expected a different BBQ than I was used to and was not disappointed. The BBQ beans had a smoky flavor as compared to the sweeter Florida flavor and was top-notch. The ribs, brisket, and pulled pork were great, and the service was excellent.“
“We have been here twice, apparently the owners had changed somewhat recently. I had not been to a Dickey's Barbecue Pit before, but I had a nice experience here, and will continue to come here. The first time I came here, the owners were working, and they were super nice and made sure every part of our meal and visit was great. The second time I came here, I did not see the people from last time, but the people working were super nice as well. Tina took our order and our food was brought out to us within 5 minutes. I ordered a pulled pork platter with potato salad and mac & cheese, and my partner ordered a giant baker with pulled pork. The food was absolutely amazing! I really like the mac & cheese. The potato salad is pretty standard. The giant baker is a massive baked potato with butter, sour cream, cheese, and a meat of your choice. It is delicious and very filling! The pulled pork plate is great, too. The barbecue sauce that they use is wonderful, very tangy and savory. I highly recommend this location, it is great. The prices are decently reasonable for the quality and amount of food you get.“
“Met Jeff at a wedding festival in January. Tried the pork with his sauce and it was absolutely delicious. We tried other places but we ended up coming back to Hit the Pit. Jeff had us come for a tasting and I couldn't help but notice that he has a 100 health score. On top of that, everything he prepared for us was amazing. His sauces are fantastic, the meat is tender and juicy, and the sides are awesome too. We decided to have him cater our wedding, and we are so glad we did. Everyone loved everything and we were so pleased. Jeff is the sweetest guy you'll ever work with also. 10/10 would recommend.“

“We visited Waynesville and the Haywood Smokehouse was recommended to us. Hands down the best Bbq I have ever had in my life! No sauce needed! The hickory they smoke it with and the rub is all it needs. I had the collard greens and baked beans which were also phenomenal. Sweet tea was perfect! I give a 10/10 rating! We will be back again soon! Our waitress Gina was fantastic as well. Love this place!“
