5 Best Wineries near Hendersonville

Sawyer Springs Vineyard & Winery Winery • $$
124 Sandy Hill Ln, Hendersonville

“A laid back family run winery. Very warm and welcoming vibes. There was live music when we arrived, that was a nice touch. The wine was tasty. I got a glass & my husband got a flight. He is usually a sweet wine drinker, but still liked 3/4 of his tasting despite them being on the drier side. I do think the bottle prices were a little bit on the high side. However, being a family owned business, I understand the time and hard work that went into each bottle & can respect their value. We do not live locally, but will stop by again the next time we’re in town.“

“My absolute favorite winery in the AVL area. They always have fun live music, great food trucks and an amazing selection of wine. They have something for everyone. Staff are super friendly, long term employees who I've gotten to interact with for many years.“

Stone Ashe Vineyards Wineries • $$

“A great recommendation from a new friend. GORGEOUS views and spectacular atmosphere. Ok wines... Asheville is heavy on beers and breweries, obviously. But if you don't mind going a little out of your way, there are some great wineries hidden in them thar hills! After making friends with fellow trivia-ers who were local to the area, they suggested Stone Ashe to us for a visit the next day. The weather was spectacular, so a hilltop wine-sippin' trip was definitely in the cards. Just outside of the Asheville area, with plenty of parking, great service and unbelievable scenery! I am so glad we made the trip! Though I will say, I did not like any of the wines which I why I am withholding a fifth star. Taste is subjective, but I usually find something I would want a full glass of or a bottle to take home...not so much here. And it was not inexpensive. But overall, the visit here was more than the sum of its parts. They also offer food, but we had done brunch before we cam here so we didn't need to take advantage of that. I would be open to a return visit (assuming different wines had been made/released) especially with a group for a meal or a flight.“

Burntshirt Vineyards Wineries • $$
2695 Sugarloaf Rd, Hendersonville

“Received in welcoming warmth by tasting room pair, but restaurant was closed despite reservation and listed open times on Open Table. This winery does have large restaurant building, but separate tasting room only thing open on a Wednesday at 1:00 pm. Servers apologized with confused acknowledge of misrepresented information on Open Table. After a redirected drive to Japanese restaurant downtown, we returned for an appreciated and tasty wine pour. Servers were excellent.“

Marked Tree Vineyard Wineries • $$
623 Deep Gap Rd, Flat Rock - 5.57 miles

“We left our previously loyal vineyard to visit this one and we are so glad we did. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with smiles. Our tasting was fantastic, (guy with bun) couldn’t have delivered better service. The wine was fantastic from white to red. We left with two bottles. The outdoor atmosphere was beautiful with a great fireplace. We are loyal customer of Marked Tree in the future.“
