Biltmore Estate Winery Winery • $$$
1 Lodge St, Asheville

“A visit to the Biltmore has been on my bucket list for years , and I am so glad I had the opportunity to finally visit it. Yes, entrance fee is a pricey, but you can spend an entire day visiting the estate, gardens, winery and grounds. You select a tour time. When you enter there is a security check and you are provided a hand held audio device. The audio tour is easy to follow and provides many interesting facts. The estate is incredibly stunning! The rooms are magnificently decorated, and much of the art is museum quality. You are able to visit at your own pace. The grounds and gardens were beautiful, I can only imagine its beauty in the spring and fall. There are views of the Blue Ridge Mountains in the distance. I was not disappointed and the visit lived up to my expectations. My hopes are I can return during Christmas!!“

Biltmore Wineries • $$$
1 Lodge St, Asheville

“I would recommend visiting this place. The architecture and style is something rarely seen in America. It was like walking through a royal estate in Europe. A little pricey but well worth the money. There are many stairs but you can move at your own pace. The audio guide is easy to use and is pretty informative. Being winter the grounds were not very green, but the garden conservatory made up for it. The plants in there were gorgeous.“

Flight of Cider
Tart

“Stopped here in a whim. We were driving through the city/state and needed a break from the drive. Googled for a cidery and found this place. I figured the downtown would be busy and hard to park (unsure if true), and this location seemed perfect. We ended up doing a couple of cider flights, a couple of glasses, and purchasing a couple of cans for when we get back to our state. We played board games and chatted for almost 2 hours. Good way to catch up with friends on a road trip.“

plēb urban winery Wineries • $$
289 Lyman St, Asheville

“Very cool building and place to spend a few hours drinking wine. Selection was decent. Recommend starting with a flight. Had a couple of types of beer. For food all they have are chips in bags. Which is disappointing. We left after an hour 1/2 because people wanted at least appetizers. They advertised a "wine club" but when we asked the staff about it they said they really didn't know anything and go look at the website.“
