Visiting for the weekend and this place was recommended by the locals. Hands down, the best place to eat. Food was amazing, staff was wonderful, beautiful scenery while eating on the outdoor dining area. 10 out of 10 recommend!!

Los Vaqueros | Mexican Restaurant is a highly recommended spot, often described as the best place to eat. The food is amazing and excellent, with specific meals like tacos el Diablo accompanied by a phenomenal avocado based sauce, and pollo loco with mushrooms, spinach, onions, and cheese. The al pastor street tacos and birria tacos are also the best. Portions are huge and the ingredients are phenomenal for the cost. The service is wonderful. The atmosphere is great, with beautiful scenery and a view of the waterfalls from the outdoor dining area. The location near Toxaway falls is beautiful and relaxing. A taco salad with shrimp and guacamole were excellent, with cilantro tasting fresh from the garden. The mild salsa has depth of flavors and smokiness. Overall, this is possibly the best Mexican restaurant, much better than others at a similar price point. Ample parking is available.
