“As a SC bbq girl I rarely enjoy any NC BBQ places. We rented a cabin about 2 miles from Blue Hound this weekend and decided to do take out for dinner. So glad we did. The pulled pork was amazing and I loved being able to try several of their 15 plus sauces. The collards and cream corn was some of the best I have ever had. Ordering online and picking up was so easy and the service was great! Highly recommend and can't wait to visit again.”
“Oak is a premium dining option, but well worth the expense. The Venison Wellington seemed like a very unique offering but could not have been cooked better. The servers were extremely knowledgeable and added to the experience.”
“The pizza was delicious and came out fast and hot. Server was wonderful and attentive. We tried the pear cider and that was great. We also had the creamsicle cake and that was very good. Cute place. Will return when we are back in Clayton.”
“Today was a first visit to Hush Cuban. The food was fabulous!!!! I had the pork bowl, it was so delicious. My friend had the Cuban sandwich. I definitely will be visiting this restaurant again. Very clean and friendly was a plus too. Thank you for a great experience.”
“We have enjoyed each time going to Fortify PI. Pizza is unique and delicious, the wings are excellent and the wine selection, though small, is well thought out. And the draft list is a great blend. The attention to detail on the pizzas on our recent visit wasn’t as good as our other times there, but that’s just picking nits. Overall, this is an ideal stop in Clayton and should be experienced if you are in the area at all.”
“Fantastic pizza and fantastic service! This pizza and pasta bar is a hidden gem! Me and my wife had the Blanco pizza which had an alfredo base with roasted garlic cloves, mushrooms, caramelized onions and arugula, and balsamic vinaigrette drizzled on top. Sooo fresh and delicious! 5 stars!!”
“Wonderful restaurant! Great service, they make you feel special every time. The food is exquisite, tastes great and presentation is great. The owner is the sweetest, Thank you again Laura.”
“Great food and what a wonderful find. The food was delicious, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere was fun.Parking: There is limited parking in front of the building but there’s also a larger parking lot next-door with ample parking just a short walk away.”
“Hands down one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to! We took a trip this past weekend to highlands where I proposed to my beautiful girlfriend, and decided to celebrate here for dinner. Great decision! Food was 10/10, service was unmatched, and the atmosphere was great! A little on the pricey side but well worth every penny. I’m somewhat a foodie so it takes something special to wow me and this place did it!”
“The service was excellent I go there every time I am in the area to play golf at Kings WoodDietary restrictions: They do have sugar free syrup so if you are diabetic you still can get whole wheat pancakes ?Wheelchair accessibility: There's a handicap parking spot as far as wheelchair accessibility it's a tight fit and the bathroom is tight”
“This is a great place for breakfast, brunch, or lunch! Their food is very good and the portions are just right! I highly recommend stopping by if you’re in Highlands.”
“My first meal at Siam Thai Cuisine was wonderful. Elvis is a thoughtful and attentive waiter with just the right amount of attention to his tables. My husband had the Pad Thai with chicken and it was perfectly prepared. He ordered it with medium heat and added more heat at the table as needed. We also tried the Spring Rolls & Summer Rolls as appetizers. We interchanged the sauces between the two which was a perfect mix of savory & sweet. I was looking for something light as an entry so I had the Larb Gai Salad. We will be going back soon and plan to bring family & friends too.”
“My daughter and I stopped by Habicat Cafe on a weekend adventure and hung out with the kitties. The staff was great getting us set up with snacks and tea and introducing us to the cats. The cats were great and we enjoyed our time with them very much.”
“We often travel to/through North GA and when we're in Clayton (or even close by) THIS is our spot!We are coffee nerds and White Birch never disappoints! The sweets are great, the store is great and the service is top-notch!~George & Patty”
“one of our party ordered the Sirloin and commented that it might have been the best he's tasted. one of us had the Apricot Chicken that was tender and flavorful. another one of our party had a Wedge and Red Pepper bisque and also commented it was delicious. The service was outstanding. Would recommend to anyone.”
“A lovely community hub and one stop shop for your wellness needs! Vitamins, supplements, protein/greens powders, and a extra nice surprises that will put some sunshine in your today: delicious healthy smoothies made to order, Cbd, cocktail mixes, fresh organic produce, grab n go sandwiches, etc., and the owner Dana is a gem of a fantastic human! Go!”
“Sat on the patio and had a wood fired margarita pizza with pepperoni and a glass of white wine. The atmosphere was high glass inside and out and the service was good. This is part of a complex of three restaurants, hotel and spa. We only had time for lunch but would like to have toured the rest. Highly recommended when you’re in Highlands, NC.”
“Great service great food some of the best ribs i have ever had. The waiters where amazing despite clearly being understaffed they brought the food way faster then excepted. Be a little patient with them. The atmosphere wasn't perfect and the bench seats where uncomfortable. Other then that 10/10Vegetarian options: If you are here as a vegan dont go.Dietary restrictions: None of the the options have cheese as far as I could tell. So good for lactose intolerance people.Parking: Plenty of spots the ossue was there was birthday party we where just aboe to get a spot so ill ssy it is fine but you might have trouble on bussy days.Kid-friendliness: Not unkidfriendly but not kid friendly either there is a bar and alot of alcohol so if you jave a problem with that with your kids leave them at home or cary out because its worth it.Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs and all tables have olaces for people with spaces with a wheelchair.”
“My husband and I visited the cafe on our travels from GA back to NC today, and it was absolutely amazing! Melanie took care of us and was just the best. She went above and beyond!! Highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone in the area.”

“Had occasion to dine here while driving through the area. I have to admit that my taste of BBQ tends to be more Georgia and Texas. But I have to admit, this had a great taste to it, the brisket was smoked very well and had a great flavor. the chicken was better than the brisket. The only let down was that both were a tad bit dry so I put a small amount of sauce on a couple of pieces. The sauces are a let down compared to the flavor of the meat alone, so I choose to stay with the meat and drink more Sweet Tea. Sides were Tater tots which were actually cooked correctly, nice and crisp, not soggy or over done. The coleslaw was fine, nothing bad or great. Overall it was a great meal. The meats were GREAT!”
“What was unique about Madison's was the fact that items that would ordinarily seem very simple on a menu are taken to the next level. For example, when I was there they had a steak wrap as a special. It was extremely flavorful and tender. My wife had chicken salad on a croissant, or nearly. This seems like the kind of thing you could get in the grocery store. However, it was clearly made using a unique recipe and it couldn't have been higher quality. My advice would be, if items on the menu seem commonplace, do not take them at face value.”
“The barria tacos are Flipping delicious! Very kind employees. Family owned and ran with love. You'll see when you stop in. I stop in here regularly for lunch now. Chorizo dip is good too!”
“Really good home meals and great portions for your money. If you're a fan of chicken livers, you'll have to stop by and get some they're perfectly ”
“Truly amazing. Sometimes the reviews get it just right. Food portions were insane and hella good. Prices were refreshing. Mark my words, I will be back VERY soon. This restaurant is worth a 2 hour drive. Thank you for a killer start to 2024.”
“I absolutely love this place! The food is always so so good, and the people are really nice. It's such a treat to be able to stop in. Highly recommend Taco de Pastor and their Tamales!”
“Amazing experience! Paige and Jordan gave amazing service. Bathroom, kitchen, dining cleanliness were amazing. Music type, environment, volume, all spot on. Friendly owner operators. This is a hidden gem! First time visitor with an unsolicited review. Can't wait to come back.Clean, Friendly, fair priced!!”
“While on a road trip we stopped one day near Clayton and Google Maps suggested I visit this brewery. It was a great experience of flavor and attention. The bartender, who unfortunately I don't remember her name, made our experience very pleasant, with extremely friendly service, she made us try samples so that we could then enjoy the pints. Excellent variety of IPAs.It was Sunday and they were showing football on the TV, at a very low volume that did not bother those of us who were not interested in the game.”
“We hike in the Georgia mountains all the time and finding a great spot for a burger and brew can be challenging. The service is excellent, everyone is super friendly. The food is top notch and the place is way cool. It’s like Country Cheers! It’s our new go-to in the hills.”
“Bella's Junction is homey, friendly, and quaint. The food is outstanding and a good value. It is the perfect place to grab breakfast or lunch. The only drawback is that you may have to wait and the wait times can be long.”
