“My wife and I were in town as part of our 50th anniversary vacation and had dinner on Sunday 9/24/23. I had the 10 oz sirloin with loaded baked potato and green beans. My wife had the spinach with the raspberry vinaigrette dressing. The food was awesome and the service was great! We highly recommend Boots if you’re passing through southwestern NC.”

“We had two signature items from the menu that we have had many times. Not up to par this time (9-21-22). French onion soup was like warm. Mediterranean appetizer over browned. Italian pasta salad needed more oil and grated cheese. The added tofu was practically burnt and flavorless.”

“Great place. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Food is delicious. I got the pastrami on rye with grilled onions. It was fantastic. I could only eat half. Warmed up the other half for dinner that night and it filled me up. If you are in Sylvania you should really give it a try. You won't be disappointed.”

“We went here last week for the first time and it was AMAZING!! The vegetarian selection was huge and so good (we came with 2 vegetarians). As Dead fans, we were delighted with the menu items and various references to the band throughout the place. Service was fast and prices were on par. We'll be back!!”

I got the fried oysters and shrimp. the oysters were sweet and not over cooked like most seafood resturants! next time we go im going to try the raw oysters and have more fried oysters. I couldn't believe we could find such freash tasting oysters here in the mountains!”

“I had the spring rolls and Pho Combo (beef and meatballs). Honestly, the spring rolls were rubbery, and perhaps it's just that I am not accustomed to that texture. I didn't like it. The Pho was tasty, but the meatballs were ALSO rubbery. I am not usually a "texture" person, but I really didn't like the texture of the meatballs.”

“Susan did a great job making our wedding cake and all the desserts for our “sweet treat station.” We wanted a non-traditional cake, and she was able to help us brainstorm ideas and dessert combinations that really represented us as a couple. Susan was always very communicative during the whole planning process, and answered emails in a timely manner.Having a gluten allergy, I was extremely nervous about finding a vendor who would take my dietary restrictions seriously. Susan went above and beyond to make sure everything was gluten free and prepared safely for me, and she even made everything dairy free so those with dairy allergies could enjoy things freely as well. Susan has a lot of knowledge with keeping someone with allergies safe, and the quality of her food is superb. Our guests were messaging us the next day saying just how great everything was!Susan was able to deliver our sweet treats on our wedding day, and set up the whole dessert station with limited supervision. It was refreshing to know she would take care of things day of since we really were in a million directions at that point.I couldn’t recommend booking Susan enough for your wedding day, or other significant celebration. You will not be disappointed since she provides exceptional service, and is overall truly wonderful to work with.”

“Second time ordering a slice of cheese pizza. The first time about a month ago during their “soft opening”, that slice was excellent. This evening, not so good. Skimpy on the cheese, too much tomato sauce on the upper half, very little cheese on the upper half, not very tasty or appealing ☹️”

“We had an absolutely fantastic time at El Patron Mexican Restaurant! From the moment we walked through the door, the atmosphere was lively, welcoming, and beautifully decorated, setting the perfect mood for a great meal.
The service was top-notch from start to finish. Our server was incredibly attentive, friendly, and fast, making sure our drinks were filled and checking in on us at just the right times without ever feeling intrusive.
Speaking of drinks, the margaritas were excellent! They were perfectly balanced, fresh, and definitely hit the spot. Between the wonderful staff, the vibrant energy of the space, and the delicious drinks, it was a 5-star experience all around. We will definitely be back soon!”

“The Jarrett House hotel and interior looks great. They did a wonderful job on restoration; however, the restaurant food was horrible. We went for dinner and the food was bland and tasteless. The chicken was the best part of it but it ends there. From the biscuits, sides and desert were not appetizing at all and the ham had so much fat on it I was able to eat maybe a third of it. We never asked for any seconds due to it being so unappetizing. I was hoping for the Country ham they were so noted for in years past. Been local for 26 years and it will take a completely new menu with great tasting food and much more positive reviews before I will ever step back in it for dinner.”
