We stopped by the shack after our first white water rafting run. Our guide pointed the place out as we paddled by and highly recommended the place. The BBQ was mediocre but the service was amazing and you can’t beat the porch side view of the river. We ordered the pulled pork + potato salad, brisket + coleslaw, and a hot dog + chips. There’s not many places to stop alongside the road for a quick bite so this semi-hits the spot.
LOVE THIS PLACE! After a long day of rafting on the river this place is the perfect place to stop.
For price, taste, and the service from the staff it really is great. Also located right by the river making it great for pictures!
My personal favorites are the BBQ beef brisket, Mac and cheese, and turkey wrap! Highly, highly recommend!

I don’t think bbq can be done better. I’m a local raft guide in the area (Wildwater), and I recommend all my customers come here. The prices are very reasonable and the food is very good. You can sit on the river and watch the paddlers come by. Don’t eat anywhere else in the gorge. This is the only place I recommend.
