I highly recommend Jimmy Mac’s Restaurant! The food and service are phenomenal!

Have tried it 3 times and will never go back again. First time was just a snack which was good since we just had a couple appetizers, I thought I’d found a new place to add to our rotation of restaurants but that turned sour quick after that.
Second visit it took 30 mins just to get drinks, I had to ask for a waitress because we were ignored. When food arrived they missed 1 person completely and had to reorder, when my steak arrived it was well done when I ordered medium rare. We had to ask for drink refills every time.
Third visit since I had $50 in gift cards we tried breakfast because that’s hard to screw up. Being breakfast we asked for milk, they were out, ok no biggie I thought, ordered different drinks including 2 kids drinks with lids and straws so they didn’t make a mess, they were out of straws too. Tried to order the chocolate chip pancakes but guess what, they were out of chocolate chips too. We found other items to order, when my kids pancakes came out they were black and burnt (crispy on the outside). To add to the negative experience the waitress was not friendly at all, we seems to be more of a bother and inconvenience to her even though we were very nice saying please and thank you in every interaction.
Don’t waste your money in that crap hole of a place.

One waitress who never checked on us. Nice older lady tried to help out but was very forgetful. Food was ok, but missing items from our order and charged extra for a “loaded potato “ that was dry with no butter or sour cream. The food was not worth the price. The service was pitiful. And the child that kept running through the dinning room was a terrible distraction. It was 5pm with 3 tables set when we arrived on a Thursday evening. Another table was missing items, while another sent their steak back. We had to beg for our check. Sorry but can’t recommend except maybe for carry out. Do not dine in here. We had heard great things. Very disappointed.

Honestly, the only good thing I can say is the staff was friendly. What a JOKE!! My husband ordered the S.O.S platters ($22+) with FF and slaw. There were 4 shrimp, 3 scallops, and 3 oysters. There were just as many FF as seafood. We have never seen a seafood plate so sorry. He said the oysters in a can are bigger and better than what he was given. Yet, I ordered buffalo chicken plate and got 1/2 a chicken? It makes no sense! Very frustrated and extremely disappointed since this is the first I have eaten there and had heard great reviews. We are so disappointed at this point, I don’t believe we would try it again nor recommend.

While the servers were nice and the food was okay, the small children (of the staff) were running through the restaurant, helping to serve meals to patrons, shouting at one another while playing video games and eating food in the booth behind ours! (One even reached into our booth to use an electrical outlet to plug in his device). We watched an unsupervised barefoot toddler walk in and out of the kitchen while waiting for our meal. While I love kids, this was not the experience we were looking for on our Friday evening meal in Bryson City.

Awful I went to call a order in and the lady said hang on. Then I drove down there the phone was on the table maybe 3 tables . Had a 10 year old busting tables and seating people . Went way down never got food just left .
We came for breakfast and it was delicious! Whoever the cook was really knows how to cook eggs, they were perfect. I also asked for bell peppers and onions in my omelet and they used yellow bell peppers. I’d never had them in breakfast and it was great! My husband and I were both extremely pleased.

My family went to Jimmy Macs to eat this week for breakfast we waiting for about 5 to 7 minutes for someone to come wait on us.Well,.no came to wait on us.3 people was in the back ,they was cooking for 2 of their customers that was there.The only 2 was their. The waitress was on her phone lookup at us and continued looking at her phone. We'll from that point we left and went down to another place to eat.l would not go to that place to eat or tell people about that place.

The potato skins definitely tasted like they were made in house and came out rather quickly. The wings took about 20min. There were 3 servers and about 4 tables... it still took around 15min to come greet us and get drinks. If you're not in a hurry, the food is ok, but if you get impatient, this is not the spot to eat.

A great restaurant where throwback diner meets fine dining. The grilled trout was excellent. The mixed vegetables side was one of the best ever; stewed and well seasoned.
My spouse had the crab cakes which were also very good!
