First time Bistro & Everett Hotel guest. The Bistro experience was excellent. Great food - trout one evening, meatloaf the next. Friendly, engaging staff. Beautiful, comfortable dining area. Can’t wait to return in the Fall. Bistro & Hotel - very special.Ben SLouisville KY4/24 & 25/24

My husband took me to this popular restaurant for a dinner reservation. Ambiance: The folks were so nice and hospitable! The ambiance was very cozy and relaxing. Food: For dinner, we had 3 orders of lobster bisque, the dates wrapped in bacon. Everything was O-M-G delicious!! The food was extremely fresh, and the portions were a decent size and great presentation. Price point wasn't bad for the quality of food. Service: Service was top notch! I highly recommend this place, and hope to be back again! Our waitress took the time to assist my husband with planning a birthday cake surprise. Everyone was so kind and genuine! We totally felt loved and welcomed! 10/10 would recommend this place!

Extremely cozy, and relaxing atmosphere. Service was top notch, we were lucky enough to get a last minute reservation for seats at the bar. Eddy the bartender took great care of us. The food was extremely fresh, and the portions were a decent size. Price point wasn't bad for the quality of food. I highly recommend this place, and hope to be back again!

When we first entered, we immediately noticed the lights are very bright (was tempted to put on my sunglasses) which was a real shame since its obvious the owners are really trying and the restaurant is pretty.. We thankfully sat at the bar where our backs were to the brightness. Extremely limited menu (only 4 entrees, no poultry offered) Unfortunately our food was lukewarm, trout was dusted in cornmeal, making it fairly dry. There was supposed to be a beurre blanc sauce, but it seemed more like an aioli, thick. I had the crab cakes which were delicious. Caesar salad was probably the best I've had but was placed on a plate that was too small, causing spillage with every bite. This restaurant is definitely a cut above the typical restaurants in the area. There is a chef in the kitchen and the waitstaff is very knowledgeable and helpful. Overall, I would return despite the above comments. If the lights were dimmed, I'd welcome returning, but atmosphere is very important to my husband and me.

My friend and I were able to get a spot at the bar for dinner, and Eddie (?) the bartender was awesome. He took great care of us and we enjoyed our experience so much we came back again a second night. I tried the harvestini & thyme traveler for cocktails, both were delicious. For food, we split the caesar salad and herbed chèvre, which we devoured pretty quickly. I really enjoyed my crab cake as well, and my friend enjoyed her trout. The next night she got the filet mignon, and it paired really well with the goat cheese. Must visit if you're coming to Bryson city, make sure to call ahead to get a reservation, the dining room is tiny and guests at the hotel have priority seating.

We were celebrating our 39th anniversary. The staff is friendly when you are greeted and seated. Service Fantastic. The food is outstanding. we had bacon wrapped blue cheese stuffed dates and Trout cakes as an appetizer delicious. I had Filet Mignon with bacon wrapped asparagus and Yukon potatoes amazing. My cousin celebrated with us she had the same. My husband had Carolina mountain trout with citron gravy, red Quinoa and brown rice and spinach very tasty. Desert for 3 one of each. Blackberry cobbler, Maple creme Brulee, and white chocolate bread pudding all amazing and super delicious wow. This place is very good. You must make a reservation ahead. We'll worth your time.

This restaurant is AMAZING. My husband and I went to celebrate our anniversary and the food and service was incredible. The cocktails we ordered were on point and were made with care (proper muddling, well cut ice, good pours and ratios). The salads were fresh and tasty with homemade salad dressing that was to die for. My husband ordered meatloaf which was made with a mixture of various meats and was quite literally the best meatloaf we both have ever tasted. My dish was perfectly cooked filet and tasty potatoes. Dessert and coffee was also delicious. Our waitress was lovely and very kind, attentive, and friendly. The atmosphere was also excellent and we loved the music selection!

This is a tiny restaurant located in the Everett Hotel in Bryson City. Unless you are a guest at this small, historic hotel, you can't attempt to make reservations until a week prior. I can't blame them since the restaurant only had maybe 7 tables plus 4 seats at the bar. I'm glad I persisted and got the reservations. The food was excellent (I had the local trout and my husband had the meatloaf.) For appetizers we had stuffed dates and a Caesar salad. Dessert was fruit cobbler topped with ice cream. Our waiter was also the bartender. There was one other waiter and they were busy. But service was friendly and excellent.

We came for the food but were disappointed. Trout and meatloaf were recommended as house specialties yet both were under seasoned. The kitchen's response was that it was as intended and they don't tend to over-season their food. Hmmm. I now see that other reviewers told them the same thing, which makes the kitchen's response even more disappointing. Management was very accommodating and comped us a yummy crème brûlée dessert but that didn't make up for a frustrating evening. On the positive side, ambiance was good, I enjoyed my jalapeño margarita and the server was friendly.

Reviews suggested this was one of the nicer places to eat in Bryson City, NC, but also that you need to make reservation a whole week in advance if you're not staying at the Everett Hotel. We did and we're glad we did. Service was great and the food was good, although my wife's filet, requested at medium well, came out too rare. I asked why she didn't send it back and she said she couldn't immediately confirm the lack of doneness because of the sauce poured into the steak. I had the three-meat variety meatloaf and it was okay. What we liked the best was the dining room. Beautiful wood!
