Vallarta Mexican Restaurant is a great find in Bryson City. The food is excellent, fresh, tasty, and plenty in quantity. The menu is wide, including carne asada, vegetarian chimichangas, shrimp, chicken quesadillas, fajitas, and unique items like a stuffed pineapple. The fajitas provide large portions, often yielding leftovers. The salsa is great with a bit of spice. Service is always very friendly, fast, and excellent, with staff happy to accommodate requests. The restaurant can be busy and packed but not overly crowded. Margaritas are good, though sometimes tart, and sangria is also available. It is very reasonably priced and definitely recommended for a return visit.
