Poor rating due to being turned away and misleading website information. Not on quality of food, service or staff due to not even getting to dine here. On their website it states they have a limited number of reservations that can be made, the rest are walk-ins that are welcome. We walked in at 5:06pm (they open at 5pm) and were told we would be unable to be seated at all that night. They were not taking any walk-ins at all that night because it was so “busy”. However there were multiple empty tables and the bar was practically empty. She said she had reservations for the whole place the whole night. Even if we waited we wouldn’t be seated. I asked if we could wait and she said no, they were booked the whole night. So no we were not welcome to wait. We drove 1 hour to try this place, and 1 hr home with no dinner. They should change the website to say reservation required and/or walk-ins can be turned away so people don’t waste 2 hours drive. If there was any warning on the website at all that you could be turned away I would not have wasted 2 hours of my time driving, gas milage, all of it for an empty stomach and then have to go home and cook on top of it all just to be turned away- I would NOT have not gone and just waited for a night when I could make a reservation. All this could have been avoided if they were honest and upfront on their website that walks ins can/will be turned away if it’s busy. Also how can it not be reservation only if you try and walk in and are told that the whole place is reserved for the whole night and be turned way? Again we arrived 6 min after they opened. It’s misleading and a terribly way to treat customers. They are literally out in the middle of nowhere so most people have to make a trek to get here and then to be told you can’t wait, you won’t be seated but they are not reservation only and walk ins are welcome is a joke. Be aware if you try and walk in. If you really want to try this place you’re better off waiting for a reservation or, like me, you’ll make the trek and be turned away based on misleading information, waist 2 hours of your time gas mileage and a very disappointing date night. I won’t be attempting to come here again because of how lame this whole experience was. It all could have totally be avoided if they were honest about their business practices and don’t mislead people. I wouldn’t mind having to wait for a reservation, but the fact that they jerked me around leading me to believe walkins are welcome when they really aren’t makes me not want to support a business like that. Also there is nothing else around.

I was poking around looking for interesting restaurants in the Raleigh area and this little farm to market gem popped up on my search. A 30 minute drive from Raleigh to Bunn later and we had a fun meal at Rustic Root. Cocktails were on point and the food was great. Definitely recommend trying the fried mushrooms and the pesto gnocchi! Ribeye steak was solid and probably the best baked potato I've had in some time. (The simple things done right should not be underestimated.)

If you're within 100 miles of this restaurant, you should make a point to try it out. You will NOT be disappointed. It's the best restaurant in the Triangle, with the best service and food. I can not recommend it enough. It's a bit of a hike to get to, but trust me, you'll be happy you did. Amazing food. Excellent service. Lovely restaurant. Can't wait to go back and try more options.

Y’all… Whew! You want some local home grown goodness that makes you close your eyes, savor the flavor, and do a little dance after almost every bite…. Rustic Roots is exactly that! And somehow they also make you feel like family while you’re there too. 🥹 Everybody that works there is always smiling, and seems genuinely happy to be there.
This is one of the best places I’ve ever been to eat as far as quality, atmosphere, drinks… all the things! ☺️ Naomi, the bartender, makes incredible mixed drinks. She puts a little love into every drink she makes, and the steaks are cooked to perfection🤤 it’s all SO incredibly delicious! I love this place! 🥹🥰

This was our first visit to RR and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit! As we live in Garner, the 40 minute drive was worth the travels. Jacklyn, our phenomenal server, provided first-class service and here attitude was truly delightful. The rib-eye was on point and the Brown Butter Cake was... I am at a loss for words!
We can not wait to make the trip again, and again, and...
