“My husband and I have been staying for a few nights at Sunset Beach. We tried two different restaurants at Calabash for dinner our first two nights. The food was not good at either of these two places -- just typical fried everything! We found the Causeway Gourmet while doing a restaurant search, and the menu offered a variety of options. Well, the food was very delicious, and the service was excellent! Pamela waited on us, and explained the menu and kindly answered all our questions. I had the Fennel Rubbed Salmon, and my husband had the Lost Bayou Gumbo. Both dishes were fabulous! The Causeway had a display case full of mouth watering desserts, and we availed ourselves to the Blackberry Ombré Cake. The cake was beautiful with different purple layers. The cake had a wonderful flavor without being too overly sweet or rich -- nice treat! We will definitely come here again on our next beach vacation!!“
