Just leaving Dixon’s - two words - TERRIBLE SERVICE. In a nutshell it’s the customer service from the front staff. One person in our group was missing their order and we waited 40 - 50 minutes while new people came and went. We are patient people but when we kept asking them about the order - real talk, they absolutely did not care. Wouldn’t take anything off the bill or add a desert or anything. Super rude and I told them we will never be back. Of course they don’t care. We have a family reunion in town and could have brought in lots of people- oh well. Better food and service found elsewhere.

My mom took me here today for the first time and I absolutely loved my plate. She got the oxtail plate and I got the jerk wing plate (lunch special) with rice and peas, and fried plantains! The jerk wings seemed to be smoked then fried, they were well seasoned and once I dipped them in the sauce they tasted even better. The rice and peas had a great flavor and the plantains were cooked perfectly. I'm a sucker for some GOOD AUTHENTIC food and this place hit the spot! The only thing I was disappointed about was the Coco bread which tasted great it just was overcooked, either way I'll definitely be returning to try more.

Dixon's Jamaican Taste NEVER disappoints!! Indeed one of the BEST places to eat in the Burlington area!!?Truly a FAVORITE restaurant of mine!! Today my baby sister treated me to lunch and we BOTH enjoyed some of our favorites there. While she had the OXTAILS, I had the JERK CHICKEN both with their delicious CABBAGE, PLANTAIN, and RICE & PEAS!! And, both indulged in Jamaican Sodas, she with a Ting and me with a Champagne Kola! This was a beautiful warm March day, so we were comfortable enough to dine outside, which was wonderful! I haven't had anything here that wasn't good! The conch fritters are good as is the fried chicken, though I prefer the jerk chicken. My Sissy also enjoys curry chicken. In all honesty though, I could make a meal with just the rice & peas and the cabbage, it's just that good!?If you're in the Burlington, North Carolina area and looking for a tasty meal, pay these nice folks a visit! Will never order from here again after the customer service I've received being a long time customer. They are not fully to blame but they are also unwilling to rectify the situation.I placed an order yesterday on UberEats, and the driver said they store was out of an item I ordered. I asked for the store to cancel that item off the order and refund me. The woman says hold on, let me see what I can do but instead lets the driver take my order and deliver it rather than following up with me. For whatever reason, UberEats and the store are both refusing to refund me for an item I didn't receive. The store has lied about having the manager call me and then lied to my husband after he reached out.I have continued to support this restaurant even after not so great experiences in the past; mainly, because it is the only Jamaican restaurant in Burlington.I will not support Dixon's or UberEats any longer as they both have lied, price gouged over the years, and are stealing from their customers without even a slight attempt to make it right.

I'm from the Caribbean, I won't say which island because it's not important but the food was great! The service was on point, I even made a new little friend there! The music was sweet and I was in my elements! Loved the vibrant colors on the walls and pictures hanging in the store. I wanted to try a dessert, but next time for sure!Parking: The location is accessible off of the road and the parking lot is a shared lot with ample space.
