We ate here for the first time Saturday evening. It came highly recommended by my parents who frequently eat here while they visiting Buxton. Even they were disappointed Saturday. My dad's fries were cold and not good. Our first time experience was disappointing to say the least.

Delicious food! We did have to wait a pretty long time for a table and our food but we were a party of 8. The wait was worth it. Started with the fried oysters appetizer then I had the fried chicken dinner special. So good. Large portions and everything was so fresh. Chocolate pecan pie for dessert was amazing. The service was very friendly and attentive. Definitely will be back while we're here and on future vacations!

Visiting Hatteras and the locals told us about this place. It was amazing. We had jumbo coconut shrimp with scallops, curry rice and green beans, side of fried oysters and cockeyed clams. We only one one entree and with the appetizers it was beyond enough food for the two of us. It was amazing. Delicious is an understatement. Cooked to perfection. Staff was friendly as well.

Very friendly, very clean and it was great food. Nice OBX character with the tongue-and-groove wood walls. Good local beer list featuring Ocracoke’s 1718 brewery picks on draft. You can tell that the owners care and it was an excellent dinner.

We stopped by this restaurant on our way to Hatterus NC. We were pleasantly surprised by how good the foods were. The crewtivity that went into preparing the salad, and the perfection and freshness of the seafood. We will be back!

We were so excited to visit the Cockeyed Clam last night for dinner. We ordered the special of fried clam strips for appetizer and they were very good! We ordered crab cakes for dinner which unfortunately were 90% stovetop stuffing and 10% crab. The meal is $38 which is ok for a real crab cake that is 80%+ crab meat. Not the other way around. I Suggest your crab cake recipe be changed to include more crab and accurately reflect the price of the meal to avoid such disappointment in the future. Our server Jordan was really nice and AWESOME! After dinner he asked how everything was and we gently shared our concerns about the”crab cakes”. I had separated all the stuffing from the crab and he noticed that and took a small plate filled with stuffing back to the manager to make sure he was aware. We made it clear that we were not expecting a discount or anything, as we just wanted to share our thoughts and concerns. Sadly the manager never came to address our concerns. I don’t hold any of this against our server. I do however hold this against the management that did nothing to address our concerns. So that is the reason I am giving 3 stars for service.

The service was great and friendly! Most people who work there are natives from Buxton, NC. The food is another greatness about this restaurant. They also have a bar with great drink specials. I'll be back!

Debbie was our waitress and was awesome and couldn't do enough for us. cockeyed clams to start could eat that all day especially over some pasta. I had the combo black drum and shrimp parmesan crusted. super yummy. you guys are the best and we look forward to see you again when we come down.

Incredible food and fast, friendly service! You will not be disappointed. The chicken parm was to die for!

My husband and I stopped in for a quick bite and drink. We had the appitizer special blue crab ravioli...amazing!!! Because it was so good we ordered entrées. The Tuscan chicken was so delicious I couldn't stop myself from entering into a food coma. Our server Corey was amazing!! He was polite and quick to bring us whatever we needed! So happy we stopped. I would highly recommend this gem!!
