They have the good Superman ice cream from Hershey's Ice Cream that is red, blue, and yellow and has three flavors twisted together of strawberry, banana, and Blue Moon ice cream. They offer waffle cones, sugar cones, and cake cones. The people are friendly. Cash only.

Cute little ice cream shack with outside picnic tables and bench swing seating located caddy corner to the gas station on Buxton Back Road. Good variety of hand dip flavors and some creative sundae choices. Cash only but very inexpensive. Service much friendlier than the neighboring Eddie’s Custard. Perfect place if you are traveling with dogs— an easy walk from Cape Pines Motel and plenty of parking if you drive up.

We were looking for good ice cream while visiting Buxton. What we found was a funky little ice cream place with more than just an ice cream cone. She has several sundae options that are served in a 12 oz cup which is a large serving for an excellent price. My husband had the caramel turtle & loved it! I had the hot fudge sundae which was really delicious. We enjoyed this place so much that we came back a couple of days later & had a single scoop cone, I had the homemade waffle cone & my husband had a traditional cake cone.I highly encourage you to visit Cool Waves ice cream when you’re in the area, very much worth it!! She is a CASH ONLY business which is probably how she can keep her prices so reasonable & competitive.
