Have eaten here several times over the past few years. Consistently one of the finest seafood restaurants we’ve ever visited. While the atmosphere isn’t exceptional, it’s good for a seafood restaurant. Of all the Calabash restaurants, this is our favorite. We ordered drinks as soon as seated and then food. ALL was delivered inside of 10 minutes - probably 5 minutes. We had fried shrimp and clam strips. Breading, temperature, and presentation was excellent. Delicious! Hush puppies with honey butter was our dessert! Senior menu option and very reasonable prices. I highly recommend this place if you’re trying to decide which of the dozen restaurants to dine at in Calabash.
Parking: Large lot beside the restaurant and even larger lot directly across from the restaurant at Callahan’s if needed.

Arrived for dinner and was greeted with a smile from the hostess and seated right away. I had barely sat down and our amazing waitress brought a big basket of hushpuppies and honey butter. I seldom see such happy, smiling staff so my spirits were particularly uplifted.
The hushpuppies were crispy on the outside and light and airy inside and tasted like the hushouppies my grandmother made in my childhood. Memory making hushpuppies that brought back a lifetime of smiles.
After ordering the oyster cocktail and iced tea, the best waitress in Calabash slipped into the kitchen with the order and was back only moments later with the appetizer and drinks.
The oyster cocktail was fresh and perfectly shucked with a bold, tangy cocktail sauce. And the iced tea quenched a string thirst and was promptly refilled.
Appetizer was followed by the calabash clams and the stuffed flounder. The clams were crispy and tender and impossible to stop eating.
The stuffed flounder was delicious. Delicate and flaky with a crab and shrimp stuffing. A dish I would order again and again.
In Calabash or nearby? Stop at Becks. Nowhere near, doesn't matter. It's worth the detour to stop for lunch or dinner.
You won't regret it.
Oh yes. In season, order the oysters. 1/2 or full roasting pan. Sweet and delicate. You will be glad you did.
Oysters are the BOMB, side order of flounder was small,1 small filet, and pricy, $9? Great service!

I could tell the seafood was fresh. Crab bisque was flavorful. My shrimp and flounder lunch special was a nice sized portion and reasonably priced. Glad I decided to venture off Hwy 17 to see what other hidden gems are out there!

Being new to the area my wife and I have been trying as many restaurants as we can especially since we are foodies. Beck‘s we went to for lunch. The atmosphere was pretty good. The service was just ok. The waitress would come over and ask what we needed and before the could finish telling her she would walk away. This was all after the we received our order. The food was seemingly fresh however very bland. I got the seafood platter and my wife go the scallops. We left only eating half the order. No dog bag needed we did not want to take this food home. Did not take like anything. Fried in plan flour with no seasoning. We consider this to be uneatable food.

Food is good in taste but if you come hungry, you are leaving hungry. $24 for a large choice of 3 platter. Only one piece of fish, and about 12-15 shrimp and clam strips. Been coming here for a few years. Won't be coming back with sorry plates like this. When someone else in the party orders a special and then the large choice of 3 platter is only slightly bigger, there's a portion problem. Small seafood platter was the same in portion as well. You will not get your money's worth here.
