Country fried steak wasn't. It was salisbury steak. Huge difference. Mashed potatoes tasted like instant. Gravy tasted like from a mix. Hush puppies were a little chewy but still crispy on the outside- I loved them. The other food was just food. Staff was friendly and quick to serve. Clean. Relatively fast

Get Chicken salad sandwich here for 12 years, today 11/14/25 it was NOT the same quality. Chicken was shredded instead of in chunks. Serving size was just half of the normal. Don’t mess with success folks. Your cheapening on one of your staples. Not good decision!

Really good food. Cooked the way my mom used to cook.

This place has went downhill bad. It truly gives “southern” food a bad name - it does not taste like southern food made at a “mom and pop” restaurant. However, if you’re busy & decide “I want some southern type food” it’s a ok choice… actually it’s about the best you will get in this area but that’s not saying much.

Everytime I get food to-go & I leave the restaurant something is wrong with my order. Previously they didn’t give me one of my burgers but when I called back they made it right so no big deal. Then today I ordered Mac & cheese and collards but got Mac & cheese and corn…. From a can… but tasted like it’s never been warmed up.

If you decided to still try this place just be careful with the parking lot. Where the pavement ends & the “dirt” begins there’s a hole that’ll send your car straight to hell.

Very disappointed. We we're told this is a great place to eat. We went with friends on a Monday, their turkey special. My wife had the turkey and was surprised it came out shredded. She said it was bland. I opted for the liver and onions. The plate came and I had to move the onions to find the liver. There were a few pieces sliced very thin. Again tasteless and dry. On top of this, we waited 45 minutes to get in. Believe me it's not worth the wait. We went, we tried and will not go back.

Flounder was tasty, served on a small store bought bun. Potato salad was a generic premade. Side of hush puppies were lacking the seasoned corn meal flavor, only tasted like fried dough. The peach cobbler was alright.

The food was good. Our waitress, a very young blonde lady, was not the most polite or patient but the young man who came to our table was very nice. My water glass had a crack in it sweater ran down my leg and into my shoe. My SECOND pwater glass also had a crack so water dropped into my lap.

Best fried flounder sandwich I’ve ever had in my life, and I’m local. Filet so long, no bun could contain it. All for $8. Forget a side, I want two flounder sammiches next time. Their fries are too good to pass up though……. You can tell a lot about a place by their sweet tea, and theirs is dialed in. The peak of perfection. I could drink a gallon.

The food was terribly bland. I have a milk allergy so could only have a hamburger with no bun. I had to cut it with a knife it was so tough. My friends said their good was clod and tasteless.
