We enjoyed the atmosphere. The people are warm and friendly. We enjoyed the food and juices. Very clean restrooms. Easy access even for people in wheel chairs or on crutches.

Food was just ok. Nothing to jump up & down about. Chicken was warm and not hot. Based on the area and its clientele the chicken had absolutely no kind of seasoning that I'm used to like chicken Rico. Rice was plain no seasoning. Prices were fair. If you're a person of color you gonna be disappointed. I would recommend, but I'm not coming back.

So I usually take pics of the food….so instead I will tell you about the food. Here’s what happened. We ordered a half of chicken with rice and beans for the sides, fried plantains, A chicken and a beef empanada, and 2 pork tacos. The food arrived smelling and looking so delicious I dove right in. By the time I remembered to take pics everything was destroyed because it was so good. Empanadas were both great my favorite was the beef. You have to try the sauce that comes with the empanadas I could drink this stuff! The plantains were fried perfectly and had just the right sweetness that made you want more. The pork tacos were simple yet very flavorful and the handmade tortillas were the best so tender. The Chicken was the star it was cooked perfectly with a golden seasoned skin the meat was juicy and came right off the bone with little to no effort. If you like spicy get the spicy sauce served on the side it is fire!(both heat and flavor). Needless to say after that hefty lunch we headed back to the counter and got another 1/2 chicken and 2 beef empanadas to go. Don’t miss this place when you’re in or near Calabash NC. The staff, food, and atmosphere deserve all 5 stars.

The food is excellent, the staff is wonderful, the chicken is epic. Great menu. Well lit, and clean. We always enjoy going here. If you haven't stopped by and had a dinner, you have no idea what you are missing. If you pass by and don't stop in that is your loss. Don't forget to try the tres leches. We highly recommend this restaurant. Enjoy!

I didn't get a picture because I dug right in. I got the half chicken white meat with green beans, yellow sauce, and an horchata. I am currently pregnant, and this meal hit the spot better than anything else I've had while pregnant so far. Mmm QUE RICO!!
It was so good seeing them busy when we went in. I hope they never close and business stays busy for them! We love the food, staff, and atmosphere. Of course, we will be back!

The food here is outstanding. My family has been vacationing at Sunset beach every summer for as long as I can remember, and in recent years we make at least a couple stops at Que Rico. I never thought I would look forward to eating Peruvian food at the beach, but I certainly do now. Everything there is fantastic. My favorites are the chicken (of course) and beef empanadas.
