I love the food and the service, except for the guy who yanked a dollar bill out of my hand. All the food made up for it though!

Canelos Mexican Family Restaurant serves good food, including wonderful tacos and Enchiladas Verde, along with a great salsa bar offering fresh ingredients and a delicious avocado dip. The prices are excellent, and the portions are generous. While the service can be inconsistent, with some staff being rude, others provide fantastic and attentive service. The restaurant may be located in an old pizza joint, which can be loud, but the food makes up for it. The building and bathrooms may be lacking, and the A/C wasn't working well during some visits. The restaurant has a small parking lot, connected to a larger area beside McDonald's. Overall, Canelos is a great stop for Mexican food, especially for travelers on I-40, and many customers look forward to returning to explore the rest of the menu.
