This place is not what it used to be. I wanted a nice lunch with my wife that was almost an hour from home drive. And the food was sorry, sorry sorry. Right when you walk in, You notice the carpet that used to be brown is now black and greasy everywhere. The shrimp were overcooked and rubbery. Like having a tire's valve steam in your mouth. The coleslaw was very dry. The Chicken Tenders tasted frozen. The waitress was friendly though. Somewhere along the way, they done away with paying by Card. Now they have an ATM on sight. So the $40 bucks I got out to pay for food cost me an extra $6 bucks. Speaking with my sister, she stated her last 2 visits were not impressive either. For what was paid for and offered. There are way better places to spend your money. So now this is on our list of not returning. Good job Mr. Bowman. You should really just close this place down. Because you have really just giving up on your community. You should really read these posting.

We enjoyed our meal at Bowman’s. The folks were friendly, service great and food was good quality. The prices were reasonable and consistent with the area. Our plates were full. There are very few calabash style seafood places left. This is one of the best I’ve had in a long time!!

The seafood is perfect. Fried , Calabash style. Tatertots crispy , hushpuppies perfect.
They even have a hamburger steak lunch special that fills you up.

The fish was overcooked the baked potato was not done the shrimp was rubbery and they had the nerve to charge 30 dollars a plate. NOT RECOMMENDED.... It's nasty ?? well 25 dollar plate close enough it was 3 combination plate.

Staple place for my mother and I. Every time she comes to visit me, she wants Bowman’s. Great family owned, comfortable atmosphere with great food. Our go to is the shrimp, baked potato and slaw!

We came to Carolina Beach from Pennsylvania to celebrate my birthday and get married on the beach. We went here on my birthday, we should have went somewhere else!!! He got deviled crab and fries and I got Steak sandwich and fries. The waitress wasn't sure if they had his deviled crab and had to ask, we should have left then!!! His was small portion and didn't taste good, fries are frozen crinkle cut and DRY!! My steak sandwich was literally fat and grissle on a regular plain hamburger bun.. I do NOT recommend this place. Everything is frozen, you think you are right by the ocean you would have FRESH seafood. They are to cheap to do that and then charge a large amount for frozen! Such a disappointing birthday meal!
