Service was terrible and the food is mediocre

Brianna was very bubbly and friendly from the start. Her amazing opening of dialogue was “you guys are going to hangout with me for awhile” Food was amazing! Def try it out 😊

Recommend the blackened MahiMahi Tacos and The Aperol Strawberry Lemonade (Summer Spritz?)

This take out that we picked up 20 minutes ago was….. aweful
Cold, chlorinated shrimp cold leathery fries
The flounder was edible just likewise the oyesters.

Do not go there

Very pleased. Food was excellent and service was great. Definitely a place I would recommend and will visit again when back in town.

SOOOO.... Service was great. (We ate at the bar.) Atmosphere was in-season beach weekend.

The prime rib, though: I don't advise it. We got it rare and it came out gristly and flavorless. I guess I'm glad it wasn't oversalted, but it needed *something*. More salt? More cooking? If you want to try it, maybe make sure you have access to salt.

Absolutely loved this place. My boyfriend and I came here for a date night on our last night of vacation. The food was so good. Our waitress, Maria, was the absolute sweetest and super attentive and helpful. We ordered the shrimp cocktail and Tuna Hawaii as our appetizers. I got the French Quarter pasta which was absolutely delicious (just the right amount of spice and creaminess). He got the Pleasure Island Grouper which was cooked perfectly (tasty, crispy on the outside, melt in your mouth on the inside). We got the chocolate cake and bananas fosters for dessert and those were both so good. Pairing that with a bottle of Ferrari Carano wine and watermelon margarita was just perfect. Will 100% be back the next time I'm at Carolina Beach.

I was disappointed In this after reading all the great reviews. We had the flounder and island tacos. The flounder was so-so and the tacos were awful. Soggy from sitting in its own juices, flour tortillas were too big and not cooked, the steak was over seasoned. The atmosphere would have been okay but a trumpet player was in the front of the place blasting into the speakers and it was way too loud. Trumpet playing is an odd choice for musical ambiance, but it was way too loud and I’m someone who listens to music all the way turned up, so if I’m saying this, then it was LOUD! The service was also only so-so. The server was pleasant, but, she seemed overwhelmed. Overall, I would say this is no different than a chain restaurant like Applebees. If you like those - this is for you. If you are more accustomed to an area with high quality restaurants, then this isn’t for you.

With a name of Havana I expected Cuban food and got none. For a seafood restaurant near a coast no fresh oysters in menu.. the fried oysters , I could do without. The flounder was very good. The steak was not of high quality .. veins .. the service was good but it could have been better. We sat outside and flies were all over us. We had to ask for the table fans twice so we could eat in peace .. I would not visit or recommend this place if you are looking for Cuban or seafood.

We got the Blackened Mahi Mahi with the Cajun sauce. It was magnificent! We had the Crab Dip and Oyster Rockafeller. They both were delicious. It is a very nice Restaurant with good atmosphere and friendly staff! I would definitely recommend to try it out for yourself! We will definitely be back!

Update years later: Still one of our favorites in Carolina Beach area. Tacos great, scallops casino awesome, even salads are good.

One of our favorite restaurants in the area. Husband obsessed with their mashed potatoes, he was looking forward to them for years. Staff always attentive, rolls and butter are delicious, lovely atmosphere on porch!
