Kate's Pancake House

This was our first time eating at Kate’s. We’ve walked by here several times but never had the chance to stop. So glad we did. The fall special, apple cinnamon pancakes were delicious

Kate’s is a cozy little beach restaurant serving typical breakfast meals. I had the pancakes eggs and bacon meal and my wife had the French toast breakfast. The breakfast was good as was the service. My only complaint is that the ice tea was dry weak and had very little flavor it was like drinking water.

When you visit Carolina Beach, Kate's is a must STOP. The menu choices are many. The flavors are robust and plentiful. The omelets have more ingredients than eggs. Yay! They do not skimp. Their home fries are very old-fashioned, which make them great. The service was superb. Great job, Brittany. On time and no long waits. Everything is clean and ready for guests. Awesome experience. We will be back.

Best breakfast place around! The food is always so fresh and you get your money’s worth. The service is always top notch too.

Not sure why it has such high score. It's an IHOP or worst type of food. Pancakes were rubbery (out of the box) so were the biscuits. I had a spinach and mushrooms salad that wasn't fresh either. Go somewhere else.

Took way too long to try this place for the first time but I've only ever heard great things and today proved them all. Their food smells tastes and looks wonderful, the team is clearly a well oiled machine, there's not an idle body in this house. Even getting through the short wait was a pleasure with great conversation and personality from their hosting staff. No doubt I will be returning to enjoy the phenomenal food and cheery atmosphere!

SO good. Food, people, service, wait times. If you happen to be vegan or vegetarian, the tofu skillet is just amazing. I literally asked them how they cook it and I cook it at home every weekend. Just good food and good people.
