This is my favorite place at Carolina Beach and the surrounding area! No matter who is working, the coffee/drinks are consistent. Every staff member I’ve met has been so incredibly sweet and kind. It has a cozy, yet beachy atmosphere and I always look forward to coming here when I’m in town.

The açaí bowl was good, a little liquified but tasted quality. The avocado toast on the other hand tasted like a premade spread similar to Wholly Guacamole. For $7.50 I expect fresh avocado! The vibe inside is chill and the workers are very friendly so points for that.

Really enjoyed our visit there. PLENTY of cool food options (savory, açaí bowls, yogurts, etc). We had a caprese toast, a Malama Smash toast, an açaí bowl and an Americano. Everything was delicious, but the Americano was a bit off (not sure if it was a product issue or user issue), but as you, this could very well have been a one off (including it being our taste bud preference). So definitely worth trying this local business out. We will definitely be back when visiting the area. Service was professional and pleasant, and cafe was clean with lots of windows and felt open and spacious!

Very convenient stop for coffee and a quick bite. Coffee is GREAT. Food wasn’t the most flavorful - but not bad. Friendly staff!

This is a nice little place just off the boardwalk on Carolina Beach. The staff is friendly, helpful and professional. Service was quick and accurate. My only complaint is that the powder they use in their smoothies doesn't dissolve fully so the entire smoothie has that gritty powder taste. The atmosphere was very nice and not noisy even with all tables full. Give it a try!

Coffee is so fresh
Recommended dishes: Avocado Toast, Iced Latte
Delicious caramel latte. They use Counter Culture beans. Acai bowl also delicious. Granola crunchy and fresh strawberries and blueberries. Bananas were somewhat mushy.
Hawaiian wrap was ok. Not as much chicken as I would have expected. Mostly avocado spread and coleslaw which made the wrap dripping with liquid. I would try a soft wrap next time.
Employees very friendly. Long wait to order (30+ min ) around 10am on Sat. Limited amount of seating inside and a couple tables to sit outside.

Coffee and food were great! Service was pretty fast, even with long line. Not much seating area, but we were able to find a table. Highly recommended!

Mālama was such a good find! The atmosphere was so cute and fun, perfect mix of beachy and aesthetic. The shop was pretty busy when we got there but there was still lots of seating and we got our food/drinks out at a reasonable time. The food was absolutely AMAZING, highly recommend the Caprese avocado toast! The coffee was great and they have lots of milk alternatives. And their merch is super cute and affordable! Overall the vibes were very fun, great place to hang out with friends 🩷
