If you plan on eating here go ahead and add AT LEAST $15 to your bill from what you ordered. They automatically apply a 10% Gratituity and they charge a card fee. It was an order for myself and 3 other people. Adding up everything we ordered was $65. When my husband came back with the food and the receipt it came out to $81! So I called because I was confused. They then told me what the extra charges were. It honestly wouldn't have been that bad if they told me up front when I called in the order. Don't get me wrong the food was great but the extra unexpected charges threw me for a loop.

I had the cubana and it was excellent great place to grab a bite and enjoy a milkshake to cool down. The interior has that classic diner feel. Pop's is pretty close to everything near the major hotels and boardwalk.

Great atmosphere, decor and dining furnishings. Hot rods and historical pics from the area in the fifties. Came in for early lunch and had no issue with table. Food came out at a reasonable time for being made to order. Plenty of food options. We tried the phillies, burgers and fried shrimp. Fried okra was fresh and crispy, French fries were fresh and nicely seasoned and cold macaroni salad was straight from grandmas cookbook. Fried Oreos and the flavor infused soft serve was a hit with the family. Service was top notch. As others noted parties of 5 or more a tip is automatically included (sign on hostess stand) and as with other local restaurants, the fee for credit card use is passed along to the customer. Spent about $30 pp. parking is easy to find, but quite pricey $20 for 2 hours for the lot behind the restaurant.
Parking: Expensive for paid lot, but conveniently located.

This was one of the rare experiences where I saw something on the menu, and it was even better than I had imagined it! Shoutout to the fry dip - beef, cheese, and french fries on a brioche bun dipped in aus jous (spelling?), pairs well with the sweet tea.
And the staff was wonderful - very attentive and patient with our two toddlers who are always up to mischief. We will definitely be back if we make a return trip to Carolina Beach!
Kid-friendliness: Our kids loved seeing Betty Boop when they came in, and all the fun 50's decorations. They have a pretty sizeable kids menu, and the booths are comfortable for kids of all ages.

The food was fresh made and delicious! The burger was cooked perfectly. The waitress was friendly and sweet. Appetizers came to the table quickly and then our burgers, which were hot off the grill and mouthwatering. If you're in Carolina Beach go check them out.
